Have you ever had a favorite TV show and you tune in and it has been moved to another time slot? This happens all the time on the major networks and it is like a treasure hunt to find it. I wanted to give you a heads up that one of my favorite shows on QVC, Silver Style, is moving to an evening time slot starting this Thursday, January 27. Jill Bauer, will of course be hosting and will, as always, be sharing with her fellow silver-lovers the latest looks in sterling silver with a stunning selection of wardrobe builders. Tune in monthly for the launch of new designs, special guest appearances from some of our most sought after designers and jewelry from some of the world’s preeminent silver jewelry manufacturers. Jill will also be sharing her favorite Silver Style picks.
Two of the most exciting items that will be launched during the show are the Prerogatives Sterling Bead Charm Small Bracelet Watch Kit and the Large Bracelet Watch Kit. The watch has a round Mother-of Pearl dial, Silver tone numbers, a stainless steel case back, and sterling silver case and snake chain bracelet. The Kit includes the watch and two flower clips to hold the beads in place. One of my good friends, Danny Newfeld, will also be back with fabulous new designs from Or Paz.
Getting Back to You:
Indy55, Thanks for the kind wishes and it always a pleasure to hear from you. Hope the house re-modeling is going well.
Saint Louis Gal, I loved your top 5 jewelry purchases of the year and I definitely see a fabulous pattern.
Donnaluby, it makes me very happy that you find the blog informative and a healthy and happy New Year to you and yours as well.
Azcat, and to you as well.
Karenlovesjewelry, Suarti is working on many new styles for 2011 and she will be here quite a bit. She is so beautiful inside and out and it really shows in her jewelry.
Grammachocklit, The children are gorgeous and growing up so quickly. Thank you for the kind thoughts and always let me know if you have any concerns.
Mozzie, I am from Louisiana and my father was Dr. Peyton Kelley, your Pediatrician. He was such a wonderful Father and humanitarian and I miss him dearly. I just did a trend presentation for the show hosts and there is lots of rainbow Druzy coming up in the spring and summer.
Elnm, I also love gems and really appreciate your comments. QVC produces jewelry in many countries including Thailand, China, Israel, and of course the many countries that our artisan crafted jewelry comes from. I too, would love to do more from America. We work closely with Carolyn Pollock and several other US manufacturers to do as much as possible from the US but unfortunately, there are not that many that still produce jewelry here. We are always looking for new manufacturers and would welcome small businesses that we could grow together.
Sandrajoe, welcome back. I truly believe that in 10 years or so, artisan crafted jewelry in so many countries will not be available any longer. The younger generations are more interested in computers and the like. Suarti and Dominique are both fabulous and so talented. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Father. The inspiration and workmanship from Nepal is truly amazing. I will definitely ask Suarti to offer her Charoite bracelet in other stones.
More79, I spoke with Natalie, Judith’s buyer and the 3 row grey pearl bracelet was retired and is no longer available. Thank you for your prayers and I also pray that 2011 will be a great year for all of us.
Pitsel, Barbara Bixby has a new cuff coming up in her April show and it will be available in all three sizes. Going forward all new cuffs should be small, average, and large.
Star826, I hope the dancing was OK. It was really fun and glad you enjoyed the show. I don’t know exactly what “in process” and “backorder” mean but will find out from the warehouse and will let you know in my next blog.
Merlin96, the triangular gemstone ring (J156063) and matching bracelet are fabulous. I am so glad you got the ring, isn’t the weight and workmanship unbelievable? I don’t know the answer about the shipping and handling but will ask and let you know in my next blog.
Dead Eye, All of Judith Ripka’s jewelry is sterling silver. Judith likes the color of the Rhodium plating over sterling. Thanks for the kind words and the feeling is mutual.
Sendcash, Welcome to the blog world! Dominique Dinouart is one of the most talented jewelry designers and her talent and passion as a sculptor really shows in her jewelry. I will be seeing her later today and will pass along your suggestion for larger sizes in her cuffs and rings.
Thank you all for the kind words concerning my Mother. She has had a little set back and is on blood thinners and oxygen constantly right now. She is working hard to get better and I know she will.
Take care, Peyton
