If you’re watching your weight or just trying to maintain good health, it is possible to stay healthy when dining out.  Just follow these simple guidelines:



  •  Choose fish or poultry that is broiled rather than fried.

  • Avoid beef unless it is grass-fed. Many restaurants are now offering this option.

  • Select olive oil and fresh lemon for your salad dressing.

  • Instead of rice or potatoes choose broccoli, asparagus, or other green vegetables.

  • Skip the bread basket.

  • Choose red wine instead of a cocktail.
