QVC’s Sunday Best Recap for 8/27

by on ‎08-31-2011 03:06 PM

Wow, what a crazy week! QVC Studio Park experienced an earthquake along with the rest of the East Coast, and then before we had a chance to swap earthquake stories we were slammed by hurricane Irene. Despite the chaos, QVC’s Sunday Best hit the airwaves as planned and we brought you the best of the best.

Ladies ruled, as host Albany Irvin filled in for Dan Hughes. She's very knowledgeable about electronics and makes it easy for people like me (meaning the technologically challenged) to understand products like computers and cameras. We had both in this week’s show, including an affordable notebook from Dell (E167741) and a DSLR camera from Canon (E167917).

If you didn’t already know, Albany is also a fitness buff. Montel Williams stopped by with a unique piece of fitness equipment called the Living Well Ab Coaster Pro (F09189). It helps to train your abs and strengthen your core without doing uncomfortable crunches on the floor.

Carolyn Gracie presented some great ideas for the home. She introduced me to an amazing set of sheets from Malden Mills (H11571) made of polar fleece. These sheets have a totally different feel than flannel and are soft, comfy, cozy, and warm. The best way to describe them is “heavenly” — they’re baby blanket soft.

If you missed the show, then you missed Happy Hour! A powerful Vitamix 10-in-1 blending machine (K30741) was featured and it makes the most delicious soups, smoothies, and this all-time party favorite: margaritas! I tried the margarita and it was perfectly blended, just like the ones served at my favorite Mexican restaurant!

I hope to see you next week, because you can always count on QVC’s Sunday Best to be here every Sunday at 10 a.m. ET — rain, earthquake, or shine!
