Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt & How to Use Your Vitamix

Hello, foodies...

I just left one of our ITKWD content shoots! We’re back to filming recipe how-tos in the month of September and we finished three terrific recipes today. One may have had some pumpkin, one may have been chicken parm in a whole new package, and the last was a potato that will blow your mind!! You’ll have to wait for those recipes, but not for long…we’ve only got about a week left in August!

So that means we’ve got just a few cooking-school lessons left. Sunday’s is inspired by the Vitamix—one of the most popular blenders we sell on QVC and one I personally own in my own home. First, I’ll share the recipe which we’re preparing in the Vitamix: my Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt.

Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt

Serves 2–4

This recipe is prepared with the Vitamix 64-oz Professional Series 13-in-1 Variable Speed Blender (K41953).

Go to David's Recipe Item Page for the full list of items that David has used in his recipes.

Ingredients:

Peanut Butter:

  • 1-1/2 cups honey-roasted peanuts
  • 1-1/2 cups dry-roasted peanuts

Frozen Yogurt:

  • 1/3 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 cups 2% milk, frozen in ice cube trays overnight

Preparation:

  1. To prepare the peanut butter, place all the peanuts into the Vitamix. Begin at a slow speed and slowly increase the speed to high. Using the tamper, push the nuts into the blades and run for a minute, or until you have smooth peanut butter. Refrigerate overnight.
  2. To prepare the frozen yogurt, place the yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, peanut butter, and frozen milk cubes into the blender as listed. Begin at slow speed and gradually increase the speed to high, using the tamper to push the ingredients into the blades at the same time. Blend for 30–40 seconds. Serve immediately.

And now your lesson…how to use the Vitamix.

So what recipes have we prepared with the Vitamix on In the Kitchen with David? A LOT. My Ratatouille Soup and Key Lime Cheesecake Milk Shakes are just two on-top-of-my-head favorites and perfect for the season right now. But do investigate others on my recipe page. You can use your Vitamix to make virtually every soup, beverage, or smooth dessert that you find. And if you haven’t yet purchased a Vitamix, stay tuned…our Today’s Special Value® is a 13-in-1 variable speed blender with a 64-ounce container.

I hope you have a delicious weekend…the weather in the Philadelphia area is supposed to be a perfect 10. I think I’ll do some grilling!

Keep it flavorful!
