Oh Baby!

by on ‎02-28-2016 07:24 PM

When my friend Brenda told me that her daughter was having a baby I was thrilled for her. Brenda is one of my dearest friends, and her daughter Naomi is like a niece to me. So I wanted to host a baby shower -- I love a fun celebration!

With the help of the mom-to-be’s twin sister Simone, the planning was a breeze. Because Naomi is chic and stylish, we went with black and white stripes and flowers for her shower.

Here’s a fun tip: I used baby themed wrapping paper on the tables as runners.

I thought a signature cocktail would add fun to the festivities (Naomi got a mocktail version of course.) Adding cranberry juice to a glass of bubbly turns it the perfect blush pink. Since Naomi and Will are having a girl, I called the cocktail “The Tickled Pink”!

I made a sign for the signature cocktail and displayed it in a frame.

No baby shower would be complete without games. Simone came up with a fun assortment that included the “Don’t Say Baby” clothespin game, and a baby themed Word Scramble. (Can you guess the ones I missed?)

Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.

Naomi’s friends turned out to celebrate and showered her with lots of things for the baby.

I couldn’t resist -- Philosophy Shower Gels seemed like the perfect favors for a baby shower!

I put Philosophy Shower Gel with a loofah in a gift bag as favors.

Dad-to-be, Will stopped by at the end to help carry the bounty home.

Naomi and Will

It was a fun afternoon and a wonderful celebration. I couldn’t be happier for Naomi and Will and their baby girl on the way.

Congratulations!
