Hi Friends!

First off, I realize we are nearing the halfway point in the month of March and this “New Year, New You” blog may seem a little bit delayed, but it has been a very exciting and busy couple of months for me. I’ve been doing a lot of working and traveling… well, I guess a lot of traveling for work, haha!

I’ve been back and forth to QVC in West Chester, hanging out with some of my favorite Q friends and of course with you! I also recently spent some time in London and Italy bringing our QVC UK and Italian friends a GREAT NuFACE TSV! I even got to bring my mom along for the trip in Italy! We had such a great time and really did a number on the gelato scene! Smiley Wink

With that said, I haven’t had the chance to sit down and write for quite some time, but now I finally am and I have a lot of big news to share!

First I’ll start off with the small news, but hey just because I’m calling it small, doesn’t mean it isn’t exciting stuff! I finally got around to launching my very own social media page… YAY! I know I’m a little late to the game, but with an eighteen-month old daughter, a family, and very demanding job, social media was just that one thing I couldn’t seem to check off my to- do list – Until now! I would love for you to check me out on Facebook (CLICK: HERE) to keep up with all the fun happenings going on in my life with my husband, Sofia Grace (my daughter), and also for fun news about NuFACE! Oh and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram too! (@kate_prais)

So here is the BIG news as to why my family is off to a wonderful 2016! Because I am somewhat new to social media, I haven’t had the chance to share a lot of my life outside of QVC with you. So this may be a lot all at once, but the past couple of years sure have felt “a lot all at once,” for me and my family. In May of 2015 my husband Tamas was diagnosed with colon cancer.  There are no words to explain the emotions and thoughts that run through you when you receive this type of news.  From that point on it was full speed ahead to heal is body, surgery was scheduled 2 weeks later to remove the tumor.  Finally we had some relief; the tumor was out and the doctor told us it was isolated.  Then came another blow, they found it in some lymph nodes which meant our journey was to continue with chemo for the next 6 months.  My husband has had and continues to have the most positive outlook on life.  He would arrive for his treatments greeted by the front desk staff who would ask how he was feeling and his response was always AMAZING!  He refused to acknowledge this as something negative rather embraced it as part of the journey in his life and just kept moving and looking forward to the every day gift of life which so many take for granted.  Fast forward and as of December 31, 2015 my husband completed his final round of chemotherapy! He will be monitored over the next 5 years but for now he is healthy and whole and that is the vision I keep of him in my mind because I am a firm believer that what you see becomes reality.

I am truly the type of person that believes every morning you wake up you make the decision to be happy. Over the course of my life, in more ways that just one, I’ve learned that life will surprise you whether you deserve it or not. Some surprises beautiful, while other surprises, tragic. No matter what hand you're dealt, if you wake up each day believing everything will be and work in your favor, then it will. I believe you become the words that you speak. If you say “today I will be happy,” then you will find happiness. If you say “today I will fight,” then you will fight.

I am feeling so very blessed about the new year and the opportunity to live each moment full of love and laughter with my family. We will continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle between exercise, eating right, and taking some time to ourselves to heal the mind, body, and soul. I so look forward to sharing all of this with you on my new Facebook & Instagram page in 2016.  Remember I am still pretty new to this social media stuff so feel free to post fun photos, messages, and even some suggestions as to what you would like to see more of on my page! PS: I will be seeing you very soon with something special from the NuFACE team (wink wink!)
