Hello, my Northern Nighters! Christmas is five days away, not that I am counting. The hustle and bustle is clearly in the air with the excitement that the holidays bring. You know me, I am never done with the wrapping and shopping until the last minute.  Over the years I have realized I must work best under pressure.  Because no matter how hard I try I am always out on Christmas Eve searching for that final gift. 

Speaking of gifts....I treated myself to an afternoon with our dear friend Angel. I also got to take a walk down memory lane.  The sheet police (that being me) arrived at Angel's house this holiday season to make over her master bedroom.  Today is the Northern Nights Today Special Value, which is amazing.  Wrinkle defense, 100 percent cotton, and an 800 thread count sheet set!! What!!! Highest thread count ever in WD.  So off I went to spend the day with her. 

Angel's house is magical.  Beautiful, warm, inviting and the Christmas decorations were stunning. Needless to say her house was everything I expected it to be plus more. I truly felt honored that she invited the sheet police over.😊 She has a tree in her dining room that took my breathe away and warmed my heart. Many of her decorations on that tree were from Jeanne Bice.  I almost felt like Jeanne was there.  Her love of Christmas was bigger than life.  Speaking of Jeanne......a side note if you do not mind.  The second time I was on air at QVC I had a TSV for Modern Soul.  I was over the moon excited to be presenting the reversible boiled wool jacket.  It was beautiful. 

When you are a TSV guest you have your own green room, so you can rest, eat and relax between airings.  That day I wandered in to the room where all of the other guests hang out.  In that room was Jeanne Bice, Nick Chavez, Cathy Gendel and Doris Dalton.  QVC talent like no other and little ole me.  Jeanne introduced herself along with everyone else.  I was so excited about my TSV.  They were all giving me tips and compliments on my shows.  Jeanne asked how it was going .....me being me, was like awesome, incredible, terrific.  Truth be told, come later to find out.....the day was VERY slow.  You see it was a heat wave on the east coast that day and no one was even thinking of buying wool anything.  As I left the room I heard Jeanne say to the others…. “poor kid, she is working her heart out and has no idea it is not doing well.” 

Several weeks after that she and I spent an afternoon in the green room together.  She told me I had spirit and a can do attitude that would carry me through life no matter what came my way.  Little did either of us know that I would lose my husband in 2010?  No truer words were ever spoken. She told me to put one foot in front of the other and keep on going forward.  Thank you Jeanne!

Now back to the amazing Angel. Another kind generous soul.  In her bedroom she uses warm colors.  The walls are cocoa and her headboard is sage. 

We decided to brighten the room with seaglass.  We used a tonal comforter she likes for the winter months and some throw pillows.  She was thrilled with the new look along with Lucy who immediately claimed her spot.

I asked Angel "How do you get your Northern Nights on"?  Her response was no surprise to me.  She said “at the end of the day she winds down with Glenn and Lucy and is truly thankful for Everything!
