Last month Laura, Marie and I traveled to Chicago for product training and a little sightseeing in the windy city!

It was a gorgeous day to take a boat tour of The Chicago River and Lake Michigan.

The Chicago River runs right through the center of the city and offers gorgeous views of the city’s beautiful architecture.  

Viewing The Navy Pier and Chicago skyline from Lake Michigan was breathtaking!

This is the historic Reid Murdoch Building which was built in 1914.  The World of Whirlpool (Whirlpool is the parent company of KitchenAid) is located on the top floor and was the location of our training.

This was our “office” for the day!  Wow, What a kitchen!

Here is Marie getting ready to blend a green smoothie in our new KitchenAid Magnetic Drive Torrent Blender. We can’t wait to show you this blender in action!  It’s stylish and powerful!

Laura, Marie and I are usually too busy to eat lunch, but look at the special meal we were treated to by the World of Whirlpool Chefs!  Beef Pho, Flat Iron Steak and Ricotta Pound Cake!  Wow!! It was so delicious!

The World of Whirlpool is also home to a display of vintage mixers.  This is the H-5, which was produced from 1919-1927.  It had 3-speeds and came with a wire whip, flat beater, pastry knife and dough hook.  It was not, however, available in Gloss Cinnamon. ( :

Look at these gorgeous specialty stand mixers.  Occasionally special edition mixers are created to commemorate milestones or special occasions.  That Chicago skyline stand mixer is certainly appropriate to our visit!

...and before we knew it, our plane was ready to take off back to QVC!  We’ll see you soon!  Can’t wait to share our new products and all we learned in Chicago!
