Key West Rocks!

Just got back from a fabulous vacation in Key West! It began with the best surprise. Shortly after we arrived, I walked out on my balcony and the first thing I saw was a woman wearing a brand-new Fit 4 U tie-front swim dress. Talk about being a proud mom! Throughout the week, we sat on the beach or the pool surrounded by my past and present designs. It was such a thrill!!! My friend and I asked women questions, took notes and photos, and then I sketched out new ideas while sitting on the beach.

The beach was filled with all kinds of aquatic life. Fish swam in between your feet and pelicans dove headfirst to enjoy them. One day, I saw the most unusual creature and I'm still researching to find out what it was. It was a cross between a frog, a fish, and a tadpole, but it was large. It looked like a prehistoric amphibian. Any ideas????

There was just so much to do and we tried to do as much as possible. One day, we took the kids scuba diving—a first for them. It was exciting to see their reaction diving down, discovering all kinds of new and interesting creatures like plant life and coral. We also rented bikes and rode around the island exploring.

At night, we walked down the most fun street you could ever imagine. Duval Street is a few miles long and packed with more action than I’ve ever seen in one location. There are bars, restaurants, retail stores, bands everywhere, shows, actors, singers, daredevils, sideshows, and just some crazies! One man had a huge tricycle that lit up like a Christmas tree and played music as he rode. A woman had a huge, thick 20-foot python wrapped around her neck. Another woman was kissing a huge iguana that she was cradling in her arms like a baby. Welcome to the Key West night-life circus.

Not realizing how warm it is in the Keys and expecting cooler nights, I had packed cool-weather clothes for the evenings. I was so happy to have brought a selection of Fit 4 U two pieces because I wore the tops out at night and got tons of compliments! Looking forward to seeing you on air soon.
