July Gem Day

by on ‎07-14-2016 12:00 AM

The four great precious gemstones are Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, and Diamond.  Prince Charles gave Princess Diana a Sapphire ring, President Kennedy proposed with an Emerald ring, and Richard Burton gave Elizabeth Taylor a Ruby ring for Christmas.  Royalty throughout the centuries have valued these gems above all others.

Our first ever Vault Discovery TSV is an incredible 14k gold ring with diamonds and a choice of Ruby, Emerald, or Sapphire.  Vault Discoveries are described at QVC as; “Rich and remarkable, these hard to find gemstones are unique and selected from the vaults of extraordinary gemstone cutters from around the globe”.  One of the most important factors of a Vault Discovery is the value.  Each Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald in the TSV is well below today’s market value.

Other Vault Discoveries featured during the two Vault Shows and the Gem Day Grand Opening include our second Neon Baby Pink Spinel and Diamond Ring (J331335).  Discovered in 2015, this is a new gemstone and only available in very small amounts.  Our first ever Pear shaped Rubellite ring (J330990) is that incredible deep wine-red (cranberry) that was once mined in the famous Jonas mine in Brazil.  I always love it when we are able to bring to you a Bi-Color Quartz Ring (J330992).  These were mined in 2000 and the colors are mesmerizing.

There are many other fabulous gemstones throughout the day.  Nancy Hornbeck and I did a sneak peek of an Ethiopian Opal and Precious Gemstone Tennis bracelet (J56985) during a gold show last week. You will also see several new Sleeping Beauty Turquoise pieces.  All of these stones were cut from the rough that we procured last year.  A little tease-Radiant Cut Csarite, Uruguayan Amethyst, an Alexandrite watch, London Blue Topaz mined over 10 years ago with that incredible rich blue color, and Watermelon Tourmaline.

It is going to be a very exciting day, please tune in and let me know what you love.
