Jill in Rio!

I am so grateful for the experience to come to Brazil and cover the Olympics for NBC. From shopping to samba…I have Rio covered. I am excited to share my adventures (and new GILI items) live from Rio, tonight on PM Style!

Every day, I head to the IBC (International Broadcast Center) to write my pieces and meet with my producers on future ones. A portion of the live broadcasts are based here along with thousands of people who contribute to the games.

I can’t help but singing the Barry Manilow Song every time I head to the beach. Copacabana beach has it all !

 My assignments include everything from finding out about the culture to the adventures around Rio. I went cliff jumping & hang gliding. Here is a picture of me high in the sky (and then at the bottom of the mountain safely on the beach.)

Olympic Park is only a 10-minute car ride from my hotel. There are 9 of the venues there including the Aquatic center. I try to go to a couple of events a day. I got to see Michael Phelps & Katie Ledecky (among others) win GOLD for USA (numerous times….lucky me!)
