Irish Rock Stars!

by on ‎08-31-2011 01:25 PM

Of course there are plenty of musical Irish rock stars, but we have our own Irish stars on QVC for 11 hours during the day on Thursday, September 1st!  It is our annual Rose of Tralee celebration, and I will be with you starting at midnight.  Actually, you may want to tune in at 11PM EST on Wednesday, August 31st because there are rumors of some Irish fly-bys in my "That's Cool" show...Anyway, I am so excited about our Today's Special Value!  You will see it premiere at midnight, and it is the most elegant, classic and sophisticated Aran design I have ever seen!! Oh, and you've been asking for XXS, and it is happening for the first time at midnight!  Plus, everything at midnight is brand new!  Then, throughout the day, we will have a collection of jewelry like we've never seen before!  Our buyers have outdone themselves in finding new designs. And Belleek! Wait until you see the new pieces!  Truly, it is the best I have seen in all the years they have been on QVC.  You have asked for more Belleek every day, and it is coming! You know, I can't have a chat with you about Irish Rock Stars without mentioning the man in the spotlight – Stephen Walsh. He brings us the real Irish rock star, connemarra marble. (Do you know how old it is???!!) His new pieces are steeped in Irish tradition and yet are reflecting the look of jewelry today.  Another update: Our friend Matt Doolan submitted a cape (I am so getting it!) that hung outside our buyer Siobain's office. She got numerous emails from people who work here wondering when it would be on QVC.  She knew she had to bring it in for Rose of Tralee, and I am hoping it is in the grand finale when I see you again from 9pm to midnight!  The Irish rock stars are coming in the last big Irish event before March 17, 2012!

One last thing…this year we will be holding a Rose of Tralee Stories Sweepstakes! You can visit the Rose of Tralee Stories page from 9/1/11-9/6/11 and answer the question “How do you celebrate Irish heritage and culture?” and you will automatically be entered to win an original watercolor painting of the Kilkenny Castle by Irish artist Roisin O’Shea!
