It’s official. This is one of the HOTTEST summers on record! Soaring temperatures and humidity make this a perfect time to take a trip. “David’s Recipe” this week is a twist on a holiday favorite. I love warm drinks during the holidays and nothing is better than hot chocolate…but I didn’t stop there. “Food For Thought” this week has to do with memories of holiday meals. My hope is that we'll all take time to honor holiday memories each year by preparing those treats that are truly special to your family and friends. After a busy holiday shopping season at QVC, I look forward to my trip home to North Carolina for the holidays. Our family tradition is to have a BIG meal on Christmas Eve. Mom always makes everyone’s favorite dish. She makes pork roast for my sister, brown rice casserole for my brother, and, of course, macaroni and cheese for me! We have as much fun making dinner as we do eating around the dining room table. Afterward, we get my niece and nephew to bed and enjoy family time. We gather in front of the tree and catch up on a busy year. I wouldn’t trade this time for anything. It's truly my favorite Christmas gift…time with family!
