My family and I recently got home from our last high school Spring Break. Along with his best friend and their family, we took our son Aaron to Riviera Maya in Mexico. Gorgeous weather and surroundings. I had heard it was lovely, and it really is. We certainly did feel safe. So, my "CAN WE TALK?" header has to do with a lot of what I observed while on vacation. I thought I'd put a few reminders out there to help prepare us for the travel season and the hot weather! 

TIPS:

- Invest in a nude bra. Whatever your 'nude' is, that's the color you wear under white or any other tint of your favorite summery colors (pastel pink, lavender, pale yellow, powder blue, etc.)

- Invest in a nude t-shirt bra. If you're like me and love to throw on cute, simple tees, this is the bra to wear. What's a t-shirt bra? NO TEXTURE (lace, embellishments, etc.) They give a smooth, clean line to your bust. Looks fab under...well, a t-shirt or any other smooth fabrication (think Effortless Style's stretch jersey knit).

- Lengthen the leg! 

1. If you want to achieve the appearance of a longer leg, get a natural colored shoe. Plus, they work with just about everything.


2. Extend them again with a tapered, more narrow toe: kitten heel, pointed toe, classic pump, for example.


3. Extend yet again with a heel. Flat shoes do not help if you have a fuller leg, but even just a little heel can help!

- Skirts or dresses are a fantastic alternative to shorts. They're cool and cute. Especially in an A-line. Shorts that hug a tummy that's full is not your best look! True you can't wear them with running shoes, but what about a comfy little sandal when you're traipsing about?

- Co-ordinate your travel wear. I saw women dragging what looked like everything but the kitchen sink for a week's vacation. Simplify. It's difficult to look and feel beautifully put together and relaxed (which is the point of a vacation) when you have tons of things.
