Hi everyone,
We have several great shows this week to kick off April, but the show I think I am MOST excited about is our Garden Party show on Thursday night, April 5th from 10p.m.-Midnight. Carolyn Gracie is our host, and she will be bringing a little surprise to share with everyone, think---fluffy!! We will also have a VERY special guest with us, all the way from the UK — Patrick Hoy!! Patrick is the Quacker Factory guest at QVC UK, and we are so thrilled that he made the trip across the pond to join us for our very special show!! Some of you have met Patrick on our cruises, or, perhaps, at our Cookie Exchange live audience show back in December. If you haven’t met him in person, you will just fall in love with him through the TV. He is wonderful!!
We will have quite a few new things to show you during this show and our other shows, but I think my favorite item in the Garden Party Show has to be a new ‘What’s Old is New’ item. In fact, it is one of my picks for the month of April. If I had to pick a runner up, I think it would be the new sequin t-shirt we’ll be debuting. Now, this shirt does not have a garden theme, but you gals know how much I LOVE sparkle & shine. You know we like to mix things up and bring you lots of great choices! I am also excited to tell you that we have restocked our supply of Dream Jeannes Pedal Pushers (A214654) & Crop Pants (A214655)!! Some of you have been writing to me asking when they are coming back — well ladies, here they are!!!
In preparing for the Garden Party Show, Glen and I worked our little behinds off on Tuesday getting my garden up to par. It’s hard right now because all that I have planted is just starting to come up, but our fixin’ has made the garden look fantastic! Carolyn, Patrick and I will be sharing photos of our gardens during the show, so be sure not to miss a minute!!
Jeanne had amazing gardens surrounding her home on Florida. When I would visit her, I always made sure to check out all of her lovely plants and flowers. She had flowers all year long!! She loved to entertain outside by her pool in her garden. If you saw our shows a few years ago on Thanksgiving day, you’ll remember we celebrated right by the pool! I remember Jeanne telling me a story, which I recently shared on air, about how one of her favorite flowers was the Lily of the Valley and that she was so disappointed that she could not grow it in Florida. So when she came to QVC in the spring, she would pick some of this flower (at a local restaurant) to keep in her room at her hotel. Isn’t that a fun story? I guess I never realized that you can’t grow Lily of the Valley in Florida. I always learned something new when I spent time with Jeanne!! Spring was one of her favorite seasons, and the Garden Party show was her idea. She talked about it for a very long time. I am so thrilled that we can bring this show to you now! We are hoping to make it an annual event too — what a great way to honor Jeanne!!
