how much do you think a weekly hair washing and drying and comb out would cost?

I have had a fall and it will be early jan before the bones may heal. have virtually 2 fingers and my thumb to wash my hair.  Woman Sad and it's left handed for me.  it will be the best thing to do, the broken arm bone hurts to lean forward.

thanks.

@qualitygalNot weird at all!  I'm sure the price will depend upon where you live and how much hair/style you have.  Near me, I've seen prices as low as a $15 special and on up to about $40.  (Not sure it will help you to know, but today I'm going for color, cut and blow dry -  $120 plus tips  - short hair.)

If I needed weekly help with no cutting involved, I'd try the least expensive local shop, probably one of the chains.  I can walk to a Lemon Tree from my apartment.

You have to call around to places in your area. I suggest calling the low end chain like Great Clips or perhaps an established Mom and Pop that isn't high end. Call a variety and let them know it would be weekly and find out if they have a volume deal.

Heal quickly!   I agree with the others, check around your area.  You will most likely fine different prices from one salon to another.  Locally it can range from $40 to about $90 - depends on the salon and sometimes which stylist does your hair. I live in a college town so the  prices could be higher here.  Best wishes and I hope you find something that works for you.

Check around to see if there is a vocational/ technical high school or "beauty school" in your area. They are generally open to the public one day a week. I go every week for a blowout and I did not break any bones! Cost here is $10-$12 with tip, regardless of hair length, unless maybe waist length.

It would depend on where you live and what salon you go to. In my neck of the  woods, a simple shampoo, blow dry and style would be around $25 to $27 at the average non-high end salon for hair shorter than shoulder length.

I hope you feel better soon and mend quickly.

I agree.   Supercuts is another chain.    I'm a senior & they have senior discounts.   Also different discounts on different days.   I'm sure you could have it done for $20 or less.  In your situation, they may even cut you a break since you will be a regular customer.   Get better soon

@qualitygal   I wished I lived near you and I would come and do it for you for no cost.  I hope you can find someone close  that would do it out of the goodness of their heart.    Best Wishes in your healing my friend Smiley Happy

PS  do you have a nextdoor neighbor  network where you live?   see if you do and post there... many nice people I chat with on my network and we all help one another out!

Sorry you are out of commission. Try Super Cuts or Lemon Tree - I've heard they are pretty reasonable.

Or, do you have a Beauty School near you? Maybe you could try them as well. Good Luck

I had a badly broken right arm a few years back (radial head implant).  The first thing I did after surgery was go and have my hair cut in a wash and wear style for the duration.  I was able to stand in the shower and do a one handed wash and just tousled when dry.

It was about four months of therapy before I had full use of my right arm and hand.
