should i use a retinol? i am almost 50 with dry winter skin, slightly sensitive with occasional break outs. and my main concerns are age spots, poor tone and texture. i started using dr gross' extra strength alpha beta peel pads two weeks ago- 5 days on, two days off. i am also using boots no7 luminating-firming moisturizer (not too thrilled with it). the pads are really improving my tone and especially the texture. i read everywhere that we should use a retinol but the ones i've used have left me with itchy dry patches and flakey skin. i also hesitate to use a retinol after the peel pads since the pads leave me red and sensitive. your thoughts on using a retinol after a peel? i've heard good things about alpha hydoxy resq. or are the pads enough? i would like to use a serum after the pads but maybe i should try to find one that will sooth my skin after the peel pad. am i the only one getting confused about what to use when? ;-)
