hi guys!!
was reading another thread where a poster said they had used up a holiday shower gel that they had used for a couple of Christmases-sp-and i was thinking that i do this too.
i love the fall scents usually, and use them from around mid sept--sometimes the week after thanksgiving. that leaves just 3 1/2 weeks to use my Christmas scent of choice.
but it takes me about 2 months to use a 16 ounce up, unless for some reason everyone else is using it too. so that means that even if i only bought one holiday showergel each year, then i would still need to keep that one for at least one more season, to get rid of it.
for some reason as soon as the calander changes, i cannot enjoy the scent any more, as i feel like i need something more neutral/pre-spring-ish. same with my favorite scottish wool, red stewart plaid scarf--3 1/2 weeks every year. lol, and the joke about that is it is the only scarf i have that is truely flattering on me!!
go figure!
i guess my point is that while the holiday/Christmas gels are so appealing to buy, i dont use very much up in quantity.
and to keep up the ramble, maybe that is why phil has brought out so few that really scream Christmas or holiday lately, and have switched to more abscure snow angel, sugar plum fairy, etc. ones that would sail on into january without being noticed as much.
so if i can find an old pump from an uber to cannibalize , i am bringing my 24 ounce mint whipped topping upstairs for everyone to use, to replace my finally dead gingerbread man. and put something more springy/neutral in my shower. lol, so
selfish i know, but they never get it anyway, and are just happy there is soap!!
have a great weekend!!
