smoothing treatments

I would like to know it any wen users get this done on their hair. I have switched stylist due to mine refusing to do them again and kept putting relaxers in my hair and I'm telling her no and what they do my hair and was still forcing the issue. Has anyone experience hair loss from these treatments. I did it before when they first came out for about 2-3 years and never had any problems. I'd like to do them again because going natural is not an option and is harder for me to maintain.
