Re: questions for those that have tried/use Mally's cushion foundation (the one with the sponge)

On 10/13/2014 BellaCarro said: Is there SPF in this one? I picked up an IT cushion foundation and like it a lot but don't love it. Little heavy on the slip for my taste. It does, however, have mineral SPF and I really like that it is fast, easy to use with light coverage. I really wanted to try the Amore P but the SPF was chemical and that irritates my skin.

No, Mally's cushion foundation does not have SPF, and I prefer that since SPF products break me out. I have the IT cushion foundation as well, and Mally's is different. The IT to me is watery, and leaves a shine on my skin when it dries. Mally's is light, but creamier.

I have this and love it!! I love most of Mally's products, they work well for me. Her Poreless Perfection Powder Foundation is my HG product - the shade Light was made for me. In her liquid foundations the Light has typically been too light, and the medium has been orange.

I have this PP foundation in the sponge compact in Light, and it's PERFECT. Very light feeling, beautiful look to the skin, just enough coverage and is build-able. I can't tell you how long it lasts as I use it sparingly, and am on my first compact. For what you get it is expensive - so it IT's version. It came with a small brush and that is what I use to apply it.

As far as the shades go, the Light is pretty forgiving, it's not a heavy product. I got it in a TSV kit, it's kind of expensive on it's own. If you look online there are video's and pictures with swatches of the shades. HTH

I too love this, a favorite. It is so light you don't know you have anything on. I put it on around 3 PM and take it off around 8 AM the following morning so yes, it sure does last and looks and feels the same all the time, very light on the skin.

I got IT TSV with the CC cream foundation, wow, felt like I had a mask on, very heavy, stayed tacky no matter how little I applied.

I can truthfully say this Mally TSV(is when I got it and on AD) I love everything in this kit, first kit I can say that about.

This is very buildable. I have a real techniques expert face brush which I got at Ulta, have 3 actually, and love that to apply this. If you want a more full foundation use the sponge. The small brush that came with it is nice for around the eye area and nose but my RT expert face brush does it all for me and quicker.

I am on the lighter side of medium and got light, is perfect for me, looks so natural and feels so good. I am waiting for my second shipment although still have more left but as said, use sparingly, doesn't take much but is buildable.

Colors are forgiving but if you are fair to a light medium I would go with light. It is a tad lighter than the IT CC cream foundation, on me anyway and feels and looks soooo much nicer.

highly recommend this liquid in the compact for Mally although I am taking a change and did order her newer mousse foundation with a brush in a pump bottle, 1.7 ounces since my second shipment is delayed for some reason so I will have something to compare this with like I really need more foundation BUT, do try this one, is wonderful.

I will post when my Mally mousse foundation comes and compare the two, was shipped Friday.

What color did you get the mousse foundation in? I'm looking forward to your review - I've been close to buying the mousse before but hesitated. Will be interested to see how it compares to the PP cushion compact. I so wish I had ordered that kit on AD.

Mally made a deep in the sponge one and the mousse. Perfect match. Then they took them away. I had to go online searching the major cosmetic companies for a substitute.

CoG, QVC has the deep in the mousse foundation listed. Maybe it sold out in the cushion compact? Try contacting Mally on Twitter or FB - she is very good at responding.

this is my review post headline, take a look

I got light medium, is perfect without any hint of of another under tone color in it. I watched the video first and saw her put the colors on her hand plus all the models and decided the light medium would be my best choice, is perfect for me. As I said I have light in the Mally liquid compact and light in the IT CC cream foundation and bare shell in the new BE bareskin.

I find this medium light to be perfect as well as love the look, feel and finish of the foundation, love it as well as my new IT 5 in 1 gel powder brow pencil duo

I gave the item numbers for both in my review with a big review, love both of these newer products.

Interesting, I just ran across this cushion foundation: Link

Has anyone tried this brand, Hera?

Physical SPF. I did think about you when I read it. I think I recall you have difficulty finding foundations that are light enough? One of the reviews on the site states the 21 is pretty darn light. I'm starting to see a theme here with foundation numbers. Missha uses the 21 and 23 also.

Sounds like fair would work better for me since you are on the lighter side of medium and can wear light. Sounds like Light would be too dark for me.

I have that same RT brush and don't really want to pay for Mally's so I am going to wait to order this foundation when it goes on her website, without the brush (and wait for a sale!). The price on QVC is ridiculous honestly. almost $50.

Thanks for your reivew!
