I love Tyler.

I don't burn YC. FAR too much soot. I do burn their tarts.

Kringle Candles. Made by the son of the founder of Yankee (and dad has some input as well). They are what Yankee was back in the day. Very pure, good throw. I really like them, even better than what I remember the very old Yankee being.

Lately, the only candles I've been happy with are Nest. The company is owned by Laura Slatkin, Harry's wife. To me these candles smell like what Slatkin used to smell like. They are terribly expensive. Yankee Candle seems to be hit or miss depending on the fragrance. I'll be anxious to check out some of the previous suggestions.

I only use unscented candles. I used to enjoy a number of scents until I realized they irritate my sinuses and give me a headache. Unscented candles aren't always easy to find, believe it or not!

I found a new candle at an arts and crafts festival in Ohio a couple years ago. I loved it! All soy, rich scent, lasts a long time and affordable price. I would say they are a bit better than Swan Creek candles. You can order them online at: www.beckleysbestblends.com or check on face book. I love Scented Candles and love to try new brands! I no longer purchase Yankee due to the soot, I prefer Soy based candles, but also burn others as long as there is little soot!

I love Tocca candles! They are my favorite. Diptyque Baies scent is just lovely but they are too expensive.

Agreed, Yankee Candle is not what it once was. Quality has definitely gone down. I still buy Mistletoe during the holidays but it just doesn't scent the room like it did before.

TJ Maxx has had Nest candles on and off the past year or so. The old Slatkin when they were sold at Saks and the like were great.

Again, thank you for all the ideas. I checked out the various websites and ordered some small trial size candles from Root and Kringle. Also looking forward to trying the other brands mentioned in the future.

I am so intrigued by this candle, and I am placing an order today to try them out! They are not cheap nor are they extremely pricey, but they sound very unique, not like a lot of cookie-cutter candle companies with the same scents........I can't wait to give it a try!

Stevieb, I'm beginning to wonder if my scented candles and tarts are bothering my sinuses, too. I've been having problems, but hate to think that it might be my beloved candles. Oh no, say it ain't so!
