neck color

Just wondering, do any of you notice if the color of you neck is lighter than your face? I use med beige foundation which matches my face well, but my neck is light. Do you notice this too, and what if anything do you do? I recently saw a young girl who put foundation half way down her neck and it was so noticable it looked silly. Anyway, just thought I would through it out there.
