“But mRNA itself is not a new invention from the lab. It evolved billions of years ago and is naturally found in every cell in your body. Scientists think RNA originated in the earliest life forms, even before DNA existed.”

Re: mRNA technology

[ Edited ]

Messenger RNA–or mRNA–exists in all of the cells in your body. It is an essential component of all living organisms and has been in cells for billions of years.  (From the National Human Genome Inst.)

MRNA technology used in Vaccines such as flu shot, rabies, cmv, Ebola, covid, rsv...  mRNA also being researched for use in several cancer treatments (from John-Hopkins Health).

I seriously doubt it's efficacy in a beauty product.

Yep, our bodies are swarming inside with mRNA.  Or else we would be dead!

I had never heard of this concept being used for cosmetic skin care but there some studies out there of a type of micro needling be tested.  We are talking small patches and lots of $$$$$.  Medical uses.

I have pretty much stopped using philosophy any more.  Just some shower gels now, I have a huge stash.😊😊

I used to love the fragrances but they are different now and do not last.

I will be sure to never buy anything more from them with this new information.

@bjbugs - It would be nice to know what started this whole thread and what it's about.

Why did you delete your original post?  The responses make no sense without it.

@Venezia

The original post apparently included a live link. Not sure who deleted it. Typically the moderator will note a live link was included. I think the whole thread will be deleted.

@kate2357 - Thanks.  I suspect since the title of the thread was also edited, it was the OP, but we may never know!  Woman Happy

Response #7 in the Does anyone know why Heidi Guest left Philosophy? Thread.

I believe that was the OP here.

I don't know if this had anything to do with her decision, but I thought it was worth mentioning:

PRESS RELEASE FROM COTY, April 4, 2024: "Expanding upon philosophy’s dermatological roots, the brand offers a refreshed formulation principle: dermatologic wisdom™. Built up over decades of skincare research, this principle leverages proprietary formulation techniques like encapsulation, microdosing, vectorization, or molecule grafting for superior, scientifically proven product efficacy with innovative, targeted, yet gentle delivery to the skin, even on sensitive skin."

WHAT IS VECTORIZATION? According to the Global Cosmetics Industry, it's the same technology that's used in the COVID-19 vaccine. "For the cosmetic market, the interest is obvious as the mRNA can boost the production of skin extracellular matrix proteins like collagen and hyaluronic acid, which production decline with age. The visible beauty effects can sustain in the long term as this technology re-educates the skin to act as a young skin, in the same way that the vaccine teaches the body how to defend itself."

Unclear to me why op deleted the original post. If person wants to back away, ask moderator to delete post. I mean, I know how a thread I've started can go in an unanticipated direction.

Is messing with genetics playing G-o-d? To some people it is. I'll leave it there.
