@Ilovelife123 - Amen to that! You are certainly under no obligation to anyone. Maybe cloak and dagger wasn't a good choice of words. I apologize. What I meant was the need to jump through hoops, for you to be able to share and for interested parties to see your info. This forum is for everyone. It's like a playground or workplace. We can't always choose who we'll encounter. We learn who we like to interact with and those we choose not to. I'm sure there are plenty of people here who don't like me but they aren't going anywhere and neither am I. Don't let anyone chase you off. You are valued. I wish you well, whatever ultimately happens. 😊🌻

@Ilovelife123 appreciate your efforts. I don't really use facebook anymore. What about a reddit page? It's similar to a message board, you don't have to use your real name, but it is also private and you can control who comes in and also ban people if necessary. Might be easier to moderate? I would also recommend a discord server but I"m not sure how many are familiar with that.

I recently joined Reddit. I'm still trying to figure it out, LOL. I joined a Gardening Group, but couldn't post because I hadn't been a member long enough. I'm still not sure how long I have to be a member to post, or if I have to have a certain number of comments, or if it's based on how long I've been a member. I think each forum is different and decided by the owner of each forum. In that sense, it looks like the forum owners have more control.

@Ilovelife123 As the owner of a Group or a Page, you can Ban any Profile that breaks whatever rules you set, and you can also ban any Profile associated with that account, so you wouldn't have a problem with people coming back using an alternate profile. Now, if they create another Account, that's a different story and against Facebook rules. They would have to do so using a different device and IP address though. That's how FB tracks your account.

Personally, I think a Page would be a better choice than a Group. You could set it up so that you would be the only person who could create a thread, and then members could comment on that thread. A lot of Pages, especially business ones, are set up that way. Although, you can suspend the ability to start threads in a Group, even permanently if you want. I'm in a Group where they suspend starting threads when the TV show it's connected to is on because they set up live chats for the show and don't want to be bothered with approving posts while doing a chat.

@JeanLouiseFinch Just for grins & giggles, I looked at how to create a different Profile, and decided to give it a try, but for some reason I don't get that option. I checked and I'm in good standing with FB, so I don't know why it doesn't give me the option. You can have up to 4 differnt Profiles, but, as I said earlier, they are tied to your main account.
