omigosh, i sure hope that philosophy brings back the lemon custard shower gel soon ... i pulled out my last bottle this week, and am sooooo thoroughly enjoying the scent!

i was thinking about posting a 'walk down lemon custard memory lane' a few days ago, but forgot about it until i just saw the fun post about "go go banana" by cranberries. then i thought, hey, if we talk about these old favorites again, maybe philosophy will see them and think about bringing it back for us some time soon ... of course there's no guarantee, but you never know, right?

i still can't believe how much wonderful the scent makes me feel! the lemon scent is so invigorating yet comforting ... sweet not acidic ... fresh lemon, not lemon juice ... custard and dessert, not tart or candy.

and THANK GOODNESS it doesn't have that lemon pledge thing going on like i've sadly experienced in some other shower gels!!

i mean, yeah, i know they had sugar cookie and lemon cookie, and lemon taffy, but to me, it wasn't the same since they didn't have the same type of lemon thing going on like lemon custard has ... sugar cookie and lemon cookie had more of a lemon extract/lemon juice type of scent to me ... (yes i know it sounds weird to say sugar cookie smelled lemon like, but it did to me, and it also did to other people as well). lemon taffy was nice too, but i think it was too .. um .. taffy like, hahahaa!

hey, do you remember the shear splendor conditioner? the thick conditioner in the jar, not the thinner formula in the bottle? anyone still have any left? the lemon custard shower gel is the same scent as the SS conditioner in the jar! i am sad that product is not for sale anymore either ... sigh ... what a GREAT conditioner that was!! i really didn't use anything else from the SS collection though ...

i was good about stocking up on the SS conditioner jars before it finally disappeared, and i still have enough to get me through this summer before i finally run out (i rationed it well, LOL!). it really works soooo well with my amazing grace shampoo too!

anyways, back to the lemon custard shower gel ... sigh ... ... i like that the scent does stay on your skin for a nice amount of time after you're done washing with it. it's also one of the creamier formulas, which i really love because it leaves my skin so soft and feeling moisturized ... something i just don't get from the other clear gel formulas.

you know, the bottle i just pulled out was from 2007. i had already opened and used half of it last year and put it away to 'over winter' i love that i can store opened philosophy shower gels and never have a problem with them spoiling or getting funky! perhaps because i keep them stored in a dark cool place, and that is why they do so well for me. in fact, i've been using some that are from 2006 (my uh .. "special reserve" rations LOL!) with no problem!

did anyone else use the lemon custard and love it, and miss it, and wish it would come back too?
