iT Celebration Foundation or bareMinerals Original Foundation?

Has anyone tried both of these? Which one did you like the results with better? I use bareMinerals Original Foundation....thinking of trying iT Celebration Foundation. I knew I shouldn't have turned my TV on today.......:-o What's a girl gonna do? LOL

I am an IT user: the coverage from Celebration is very good: but, unlike what the vendor says, you have to apply it several times to get that maximum coverage she uses to camouflage her rosacea. Therefore, you can also control the depth of coverage you want. The brush is good, but not as great as they say. Any other large face-brush would work as well.

The product lasts a long time, too.

I am 68 years old, with some gray in my hair: the "light" hue works well on me.

I was using the it celebration foundation and liked it, but found it a little heavy for the Summer. I just started using the Bare Minerals foundation after hearing so many rave reviews and find that I like this better.

I forgot to add: I am in my 60's, normal/dry skin, medium complexion with age spots/melasma, everything that comes with aging!

For me, the coverage is much better than the loose BE. I brush it on all over and then stipple it over my sunspots. I find it covers very well without looking cakey. The BE ready foundation which is the pressed, covers just as well, but I find it cakes a bit. On me the IT looks very natural. With the IT, I use the angled BE brush that is used with their ready foundation

I use medium/medium tan mixed together in the bareMinerals Original Foundation. Would I order the medium or tan in the iT Celebration Foundation? Do the colors run on the lighter or darker side?

This is just an objective opinion from having seen and sampled both, but neither is a regular foundation which I buy. From that perspective I think IT covers better, but as previously stated you have to apply more than one layer for full coverage. I would not recommend IT Celebration Illuminating at all. It has too much sheen and if you want to tone it down you have to add a layer of another matte powder.

(Original) BE is ok, and they definitely win the shade range contest, but it just doesn't apply and wear as well IT.

I wear medium tan in loose BE. It is about 2 shades darker than my skin tone, but blends well as I like a bit more color. I wear tan in IT. I think the colors run light, but I have read others think it doesn't. I personally do not think the illuminating has too much sheen at all. I think it is pretty and gives a glow, no glimmer. But if you want more of a matte look, go with the regular. I use both.
