the only thing I found that worked on mine was JRivers hand cream with 6% hydraquinone.....but is discontinued now since the FDA has restricted the amount u can sell w/o a prescription is 3%......good news is I saw a rec in here for Nadinola cream w/ 3% and I have seen my spots begin to fade after the 2nd time I used it. You can find it with the ethnic or African American products at WM or most drugstores.

I am currently using a three piece kit I got from ASDM Beverly Hills. It is their 15% MAP Vitamin c serum, lightening cream and microdermabrasion cream. I have been using it three weeks and some of my lighter spots are already gone. They also have a 2% and a 4% hydroquinone serum. If the lightening cream doesn't get rid of some of my darker spots, I plan on trying the 4% hydroquinone. Just remember to wear sunscreen daily or they will come back. It will take some time to get rid of them. Most topical products say to give it six to eight weeks to see results. You can check out the products I mentioned at asdmbeverlyhills.com. There are also some sellers on eBay and Amazon. Good luck with whatever you go with. I have been battling mine for over 10 years. The products I'm currently using have made the biggest improvement.

I use Dr. Denese's firming facial pads and Vitamin C pads and then Hydroshield. I don't have any brown spots on my face. I have some on the top of my left hand (where the sun shines through the car window).

The sun is partly what makes the brown spots, so I've read.

I only have spots on my hands. I've been using Avon's Banishing Cream for several years now ... works great.

I have a large brown spot on my face, it's been there for years and last week I put a 'peel' product on just that spot. It will take a week or so and then the spot will literally peel and hopefully a nice clear area will be revealed...so far I can see it is breaking up but no peeling yet. The products is from Make Up Artists choice company. I'll let you know in a few weeks if it works.

I am 100% with myshell on this. I have vitiligo which is a bit different than dark spots but after handling my issues I have been using several products from ASDM to keep my skin clear. My skin has not looked this good in at least 30 years. We have an ASDM post going that will give you some ideas.

4% Hydroquinone RX from a derm doc is still the USA gold standard. worked beautifully for me, use it for 3 months, should work by then.

I resorted to wart remover (but I do NOT recommend this method)

L'Oreal Serum Absolute foundation took all my dark spots away after the first bottle was used up. I just now noticed my dark spot the size of a quarter is totally gone
