has anyone here tried Monistat Chafing Gel? i read about this on a beauty forum several years ago, and tried it, and have never gone back to expensive primers. do a google search and read the reviews!

It's true. I read all the posts when it was all the rage and then I ran out and stocked up on the stuff. I just tossed my expired stash because I realized one day that I really don't need a primer now that I'm using a reliable CC cream. But Monistat is a fine -- and affordable -- choice.

I really like Boscia foundation primer, especially for my oily skin. It's a little spendy, but a tube of it lasts for months!

I love Laura Mercier's primer for mineral makeup. I don't use mineral makeup anymore, but it's really good with my Dior Star liquid makeup. I have used all of her primers and they are all good. The mineral one seems to stop the shine when it gets hot.

I love MUFE: Makeup Forever and Mallys Perfect Prep Poreless Primer. Now, I'm interested in Laura Mercier's Primer as well! Love her Tinted Moisturizer!

Re: help! need a foundation primer...

Not crazy about primers, but I use Smashbox, Mally's and Skinn's. I think I like Mally's best and Skinn's second. I've tried Spackles, and it wasn't for me. What I don't like about them is the slickness. Skinn's has the least slickness.
