People can be allergic to even the natural products found in WEN...or anything else, for that matter!

Did you ladies test your legs or arms with Wen to see if it thinned the hair?

Hey, I've been tested for allergies for multiple things over my life and NEVER have I been allergic to foods. That explains why I love food. The thought of being allergic is horrible. I find trading my lack of food allergy for my pollen allergies even.

I was tested for both blood and skin....negative over multiple tests over multiple year spans. So, a long way to say that I'm not aware of any allergies to herbal things and most plants other than their pollen. You are right that some people are allergic to things like menthol, which is a common ingredient in shampoos and CC. I have a friend that can't use sun screen or deodorants that have titanium dioxide in them. She can use tanning oil, but not sun screen. She just stays out of the sun.

Just to clarify, there are not " law suits, as in plural" filled against wen. There is one law suit filed against Gunthry Renker wen. And if you google the law firm who is handling the suit and see who else they have filed suits against, you will see that they have filed suits against many many companies that most of us have probably purchased from. I am not going to get into the debat of wen and hair loss, I personally after 4 years of only using wen have never had an issue, but some others have, bad reactions can happen. I think that can be said for a large number of beauty products on the market today. QVC sells a ton of wen, like huge amounts and continue to do so, there may be some bad reactions but obviously there are a lot of people who use wen with no issues and come back for more, if the product was causing hair loss in a high number of users there would have been more lawsuits, wen has been around for a long time.

I may be way behind in this news but now I finally have my answer and know I am nor "sickly". First let me say I love Chaz Dean. I can see he is a kind heart. I am also a dog(animal) lover and I love what he does for his dogs. They are obviously happy, healthy and peaceful dogs. That speaks to the treatment from the owner.

I did just read about law suits regarding hair falling out from use of the product. I had major hair loss while using Wen. I still have quite a bit of product left and I am now afraid to use it. I stopped using it for a bit of time and saw no more extreme hair loss. Maybe there is something to the claims of hair follicle suffocation. I heard Nick Chavez say hair must be washed. I BELIEVE HE IS RIGHT. I am going to try his product. Lord knows I now need to volumize!

Hi, domenica1.

I'm sorry about what happened to your hair. Hope it grows back and hope you find something that works for you.

Same! My boyfriend won't get off my case about it {#emotions_dlg.lol}

OP, you've gotta do what you've gotta do - if shampoo is what you've gotta do, then do it.

Wen isn't for everybody, but no product is, so don't feel bad about not being able to use it. BE makeup has a cult following and I can't EVER use that, but I let bygones be bygones and found something that works for me and I haven't looked back.

If you are looking at Nick Chavez, you should check out the thread NC Bandwagon started over in Beauty Banter - you'll probably have better luck over there.

Good luck!

it's always interesting (and annoying at times) to me these complaints/comments about hair loss because a lot of the time the people complaining/commenting rarely state whether not they cleanse EVERY day or EVERY FEW days. it's commonly known that on an average day most people lose around 100 strands of hair throughout the day but don't really notice, especially if they cleanse every day. many people who complain about excessive hair loss either don't comprehend that fact or refuse to believe that fact. For people who only cleanse every few days, a lot more hair is obviously going to be noticed. that's a fact. personally, i believe that many of the people who complain about losing an "tons" of hair aren't cleansing every day thus of course they will notice a lot more hair shedding than people who cleanse every day. a huge problem is the people who's increased hair loss is due to health/medical conditions but that the people adamantly refuse to believe that their hair loss is due to anything but Wen. until people who experience hair loss problems actually make the honest effort to see their doctors to make sure their hair loss is NOT due to health/medical issues (ie. allergies, etc), people are just going to keep complaining and blaming Wen for their hair loss and they'll never believe that their hair loss issues are anything but due to Wen no matter how much anybody tries to tell them otherwise.

Whenever I see hair loss threads on the main Community page, I like to see if there is anything I can add in terms of my experience. Whenever I see posts like yours, jurby, I feel compelled to respond.

I'm sorry, jurby, but your so-called "facts" are bogus. When I wash with shampoo, I only need to every 3-4 days, and even less often in winter. I typically lose the same 50-75 hairs each and every day, not just on the days I shampoo. When I washed with Wen, I found that I needed to wash much more often, just about every single day. When I realized my hair was thinning (because I have a ton of it), I started counting. I was losing 200-300 hairs per day, each and every day.

I spent a fortune on doctors -- internists, endocrinologists, rheumatologists, derms and hair specialist derms. I do not and did not have any medical conditions and I do not take any meds. I am not and was not under any stress at the time I used Wen.

You come across as self-righteous and it isn't appreciated for those of us who have been through h*ll as far as our personal experience with Wen.
