@Andreatoo  Oh, I love that idea of creating your own palette!

@HappyDaze  Wow!  Those are some bright colors!  I actually like to use a more neutral, light color first......then add a touch of a bright color for added pizzaz!

lol they aren't for me either! Even in my 20's and 30's when I was much more exprimental and crazier I never went that bright, lol.

@2blonde

Yeah it's cool! But I was a bit ambitious; I picked up the 8 or 10 pan size and I still only have 4 colors in it! lol

I really need to go to the mall or their website and fill it up!

You wouldn't believe how many choices they offer!

I totally forgot about Ulta's house brand.  Seems last I was in store they had every color in the rainbow.  Since I haven't tried, I can't vouch for quality- but the color selection appeared never-ending.  I *think* you can do custom palettes too.  I saw empty cases for their singles a while back.

I bought an empty Mac shadow palette off eBay ages ago thinking I'd fill it.  I kept running across it in my stash.  Well,  I finally got my first refill shadow and was sure I knew right where it was. I searched like there was no tormorrow & for the life of me now can't find the %*@! palette.  Ain't that the way the shadow crumbles. lol

Can't win for losing.  Mac is owned by Estee Lauder = animal testing.  I really should stay up on this information BEFORE purchase.

Just like IT Cosmetics there's not ONE Mac foundation I've tested, and I've sampled quite a few, that do a thing for me.  They both have a propensity towards heavy greasy or too powdery formulas.  I don't have anything Lancome, but did buy a Loreal cheap mascara about a week ago.  I'm trying.  Smiley Frustrated...    Still.  Need to do better.

I know I veered OT.  It's a shame.  Mac has a great "Back to Mac" program and I especially like their limited edition lippies where every penny goes to AIDs research.

@Funloving

While I've never personally tried Mac cosmetics I often see Inglot reviews comparing the quality to Mac..but so much more affordable! And no animal testing

I have some Inglot e/s and I do like them. I have a couple small size Z pallets and a couple large ones. I do enjoy buying singles based on what I like and will use. Sometimes there are colors in pallets that I don't touch.
