Since we only see Hosts, it can be easy to forget that there is an army of people who work at, and run QVC.

The on-air hosts are not the decision makers in the corporation. I'm sure companies like Wen and Nick Chavez have contracts that spell out how and when their products are sold. The hosts and models who state on-air they have only used Wen since 2007 (or whenever) must be under contract to do so and and are probably paid as such. These decisions as to scheduling hosts and products are made higher up in the corporation.

Why can't a host wash their hair with WEN ..... and use Nick Chavez hair spray?

Personally, I use WEN and then spray on the NC thickening mist to wet hair before styling ..... so what?
