considering ordering Retin-A

I have been having really bad breakouts lately, likely due to stress. All through my teen years I had gorgeous skin. Not even a breakout during my time of the month. When I went on the depo shot in my early 20's it ruined my skin. I was getting horrible cystic acne. I came off of it and my skin cleared up, but became dry. Now that I'm under a lot of stress I'm breaking out again.I tried some Perricone products and I broke out worse, so back they went. I am using Avene Ystheal, but not seeing any results. Does anyone with Retin-A experience think this would be worth a shot?
