Re: avon ladies--or users -help please...

I have been buying many different cosmetics, nail polishes, fragrances, etc, directly from Avon for many years. Some have been great purchases and others have been just so-so. I like to get it on-sale with free shipping for an even better price. I don't have to deal with anyone coming to my home except the mailman! Just go to Avon's website and look around. Create an account and you're set! Very easy. It's a good way to 'try' a new color and experiment before purchasing a fine brand here at the Q.

I also want to add a comment about one of their fairly new products-the makeup setting spray. It is $8.00 per bottle and I tried it as soon as it came out this past summer and really like it. I put my makeup on and spray about 4 or 5 sprays and it is done for the day-it lasted through boating, motorcycle riding w/a helmet and my workouts. It dries to a nice natural finish-not shiny at all-and it is very reasonably priced.

I buy Avon a lot but never used the eye stuff. i never had a problem with the skincare line. The cheap end line called elements ( i think) is very good.

I currently use the garnier rollerball for under eye puffiness and it works!

Good to hear. I currently send to Amazon for a rosewater spray - but now I will ask about the finishing spray at AVON when I go next time. is it scented?

Avon now has stores in some towns - we have one here in Florida and there is at least one in Pittsburgh as well. If you have one - it is a place where you can talk to the salesperson and try on products etc. Look in the phone book.

I have two of them near me in Metro Detroit--they are about 7 miles apart, and I'm right in between the two. I don't use their skin care, so I have no idea about eye serums or acne treatments. I occasionally pop in there and have bought nail polish, lipstick, hand lotion and have been satisfied. They have some decent products at a good price.

Most recently I purchased Avon Advanced Techniques Moroccan Oil ($10 for 2 fl. oz) to replace the Moroccan Oil ($15 for 0.8 fl. oz) I bought from the salon, and I can't tell the difference!

Suave moroccan oil is even better and has a higher concentration of argan oil in it. What is really good is the macadamia oil from hair chemist at sallys beauty. the actual oil is like the third in the ingredient list. there is also a bamboo oil by hair chemist

I looked up the ingredients of moroccanoil and Avon oil and argan oil on both items is 5th in place on the ingredient list. So your pretty much getting the same amount of oil it seems for a better price
