Hi kittie, you have to remember that Chaz is a professional stylist and he is styling the models' hair for TV.

That will be hard to recreate at home.

oh yeah you got that right & I think it's so not fair to show a stylist doing it & expect us not to get discouraged & upset when we can't achieve same look!! It's like showing us a Mercedes & saying oh no we can't get it!!

This was my thought exactly--you have to have realistic expectations. Unless you have Chaz in your bathroom every morning, it probably won't ever look like the models hair. I believe everyone gave her good advice though to help her get her hair as good as it can be.

yeah I guess so Smiley Sad I guess I will always struggle with my hair unless I damage it with a flat iron which chaz says not to do so I can't ever truly win with wen!! He says stuff not to do but what does he expect!! Thanks for the advice everyone will keep stuff in mind!! Thanks everyone!!

I think they try to show a range of different hair types during presentations, but of course in reality there are hundreds of different hair types and styles, they can not represent all of them. My hair is no where near anyone he has ever had on stage, and I have never expected my hair to end up looking like one of those models for that very reason. My hair has never been better with wen and since using it I have actually embraced my curls, I go curly now more than I go straight. Wen is a good product for me but I am realistic about my hair type and know that I will never have hair like the hair models, I have restrictions on what my hair will do, and that has nothing to do with wen, it's just genetics and my hair type. I hope you find a formula that works better for your hair and can find a happy realistic balance for styling your hair.

kittie, don't give up. The first dozen times or so I tried to use a curling iron were a total flop! It takes practice to learn anything new especially when we are trying to follow someone doing it on someone else but we are looking in the mirror at ourselves Smiley Wink If you have long hair and practice a few more times I'm sure you will get better at it. Make sure your hair has enough moisture to hold the curl you are trying to put into it. If it is dry/damaged I don't think it will work. I think you should use the Wen CC daily a few times and make sure the formula you are using is moisturizing enough for your hair. Also, if you have some Re-Moist give yourself a couple of treatments over the course of a week. Then try the brush curl technique again. And practice a little before you give up!! I'm sure you can do it! Let us know how it turns out!

Re: anyone have problems with wen??

Kitties, if your hair is still frizzy and not coming out right, you may need to balance your protein and moisture levels. You can try leaving a protein-rich(or amino acid or whatever) treatment like 613 on for an hour, rinse well, then leave a moisturizing treatment in for an hour or longer(like the remoist). Balancing out your levels helps get rid of frizz....the protein/amino acid/whatever fills in the holes in your cuticle where it's damaged, and the moisturizing cleansing conditioner helps water bind to your hair which is actually the 'moisture' in well-maintained hair.

My hair was looking a little frizzy from the last few months of hot, humid, weird weather...and I did this treatment yesterday... My hair is ultra smooth and shiny today without a hint of frizz.

Don't worry about blowing out your hair...it takes alot of practice to get it right Smiley Happy

Re: anyone have problems with wen??

Kitties it sounds like you have curly hair that you are trying to make straight. I don't think I have ever seen Chaz do this with a Wen model. Mostly when someone has curly hair he has them go natural. Straightening thick hair will indeed take a lot of styling and will cause damage.

Re: anyone have problems with wen??

Kudos to Denise from Canada! After reading far too many posts from women wanting "Wen" hair, I believe what they really want is the "Wen Model" hair. I used to work as a fitness trainer, and I would have forty year-old women come in wanting to look like Demi Moore! I would ask them if they ever looked liked that {#emotions_dlg.laugh}, and we would share a laugh! Without exception, all answered no. I would tell them that I could get them into the best shape for who they were, but I doubted I could magically transform them into Demi Moore. I have stated on these forums before that I am basically lazy and cheap when it comes to my hair, and, for ME, Wen is the most economical and easiest product I have ever used. My hair looks terrific and my scalp feels healthy. I use the cc and sc, but I rarely use any of the other products. Kittieslover, I hope you find the right combination of products. I recently started a friend on POM; she has naturally curly, extremely damaged hair, and she loves the POM. I wouldn't stress too much though; we are usually our own worst critics. Good luck.

Haha! I used to go to a hairdresser who displayed a sign, "I'm a beautician, not a magician!"

Don't be discouraged. The more you use Wen, the better your hair will get. You just need to find what works best for you and eventually you will have the best hair you have ever had Smiley Happy
