do you have a high pollen count in your area right now? I discovered through the years that when spring starts to bloom and fall begins to fall and my eyes begin to water and the sneezing starts then come the pimples. antihistime like bendryl clears me right up. i'm 58.

Do you have sensitive skin? I can see where the Dermapeel might cause a reaction. The blue bottle of Enriched Softening Essence I find very soothing. I use both and love them, but the Dermapeel causes my eyes to burn if I get it too close to them. The menthol or what ever it is in it. I love it but wish they would take that ingredient out. Is it more of a rash or pimples? If it's a rash an antihistimine may help.

Suzy, I think the Dermapeel started a cascade reaction. Maybe the menthol, maybe it was contaminated, I don't know. Those were the 4 new Skinn products that I used (stupid of me to not try one at a time). I also tried the free BB cream and yellow plasma that came with it. I had never used Dermapeel, and frankly, it looked like little bits of shaved beard in there, but it came sealed. Since I never tried it before, I figured that's just how it looks. I will never know which ingredients caused the reaction. Wish I knew, because I'd avoid them like the plague. I thought paying the ER would cover the whole bill. Lovely surprise, final bill after medical insurance deductions - another 500.00 on top of the 100.00 ER initial visit! So, I am out of pocket 600.00, just for the medical evaluation and culture they ran. I should call ShopHQ again, but I am exhausted from trying to get them to keep their word - they said they would cover the 100.00 ER co-pay.

Did you get a refund? Sometimes ingredients we have used for years we can become allergic to. Do you know what product caused your reaction? I guess if you used them all at the same time frame it would be hard to tell. I hope you have recovered.

Sorry didn't see this as I was writing a reply. What did the culture tell you? It's a shame you had to go to ER. When you are having an allergic reaction, you don't want to wait to see if it stops you from breathing.

Kind, it came back normal staph. I think it may have been partly an allergic reaction too, but the ER Doc. didn't think so. I haven't gone to the ER in yrs and sure didn't want to, but really had no choice. I'd have gone to my Doc. but it was a blizzard and we had a snow emergency, no one allowed on the roads except for emergencies and all offices closed. Not fun at all, risked my son's life and mine just having him drive me there.

Take Benadryl or first ask your dr. if you can take it if you have not taken it before. If it's not the new product you are using, it could be your diet but I have a feeling it's the new product. Why don't you try acure Organics skincare? I have sensitive skin have no problem using. Start with one product (night cream is awesome) to see if you like it. Under $20.

< p>"Normal Staph", do you mean as opposed to MRSA? If you have staph, you must take a prescription antibiotic. How did the ER get a culture back so fast? Sometimes, there are quick tests for some organisms like strep. They give a quick , but not 100% definitive result. In any case, staph is not just a little nothing to ignore. You should recheck with the ER and reread the discharge paperwork to see what the instructions are and follow up to get appropriate care. In the meantime, don't touch the rash, wash hands often, use your own towel. Or better yet, disposable paper towel. Keep fingers out of your eyes. Staph infections can spread to different places on you and to others. Be careful preparing food, until you find out. Since you don't know which,if any, of the products you used is contaminated, do not use them again. Staph does live on skin and usually does not cause problems, but the dermabrasion may have created small openings in the skin's protective layer and allowed staph to enter. Unless you are willing and able to find a lab to test everything , you most never know for sure. You can check with The Consumer Product Safety Commission to see if there are product recalls and with the FDA site. Good luck and take care.
