Re: YOUR POST NAMES/NICKNAMES

@I am still oxox

Thanks for correcting me. I don't speak , read or write Hebrew. I know a little Yiddish since at one time or another while growing up, we had both sides of grandparents living with us. They spoke Yiddish mixed w/ English. When my parents wrote my name on birthday cards, etc., they spelled it Shanus. My friend's English name is Shayna. Guess her folks knew better. Since aunts, uncles, cousins know & call me Shanus, at 68, it's a little difficult to change it now.

I am the keeper of the koi, because i raise big beautiful 20+lb koi fish. I am the only keeper , i control everything, they are my precious art work come to life. There is something so ethereal and simple at the same time. Right now my beauties are in semi hibernation, i am still out there checking several times a day. It is rather Cold here. I wont rest until spring! MARYANNE

Why is this on the beauty forum?

@bells4me  Why did you take the time to post this comment?  The title of this thread says it all, so why did you bother clicking on it???

You must be in the mood to cause trouble today.....you called me out on my thread saying it was crank or some such name when I was asking a simple question about the volume on the QVC channel.

None of us came here today to be corrected over trivial stuff.  It's the holidays, try to be merry (if you can).

Re: YOUR POST NAMES/NICKNAMES

Back in the dawn of time, when these forums started!, I was "Sooner" then for a while had to change it so was "Springer" (for the little town in OK NOT Jerry).  THEN got to change back to:

Sooner born and Sooner bred,

and when I die I'll be Sooner dead!

Rah Oklahoma, Rah Oklahoma, Rah Oklahoma!

Okla U!

I wish I'd picked a different nick, but I was in a hurry.  I've thought of so many better nicknames since.  Oh welllllll.....  I wanted to give a hint to where I live.  Since I'm smack in the middle of the Land of Oz (ahem), in my rush, all I could think of was the movie quote, "and your little dog Toto, too."    So there ya go.

@tototwo

You can edit your nic if you want.

But I think yours is cute!

Re: YOUR POST NAMES/NICKNAMES

I never had a nickname either while growing up or as an adult.  When I started using the internet I created a nickname to use for accounts.  When QVC began their forums, I decided not to use the name I was using as a log-in on websites.  The simple fact for me is an ad for the cereal ran on TV at the time I was in the process of creating my QVC name, and that's the origin of Trix. When QVC had a program glitch last summer I had to add another x to the name.

@bells4me  Hello. I was on the BEAUTY forum when I noticed the interesting, inventive nicknames. Yours? Cat or dog lover?

@Trix: I'm glad that a Viagra ad wasn't showing on the tv when you were choosing your screen name!  Woman LOL
