Re: Wrinkles showing, using very light makeup

NativeJax, definitely ditch the mineral makeup.  It's no friend to the aging face.  The SCA argan skincare should be ok, but you you may want to consider adding a primer under your foundation.  Laura Geller's Spackle collection includes several versions.  The original is usually the best place to start, but you may want to consider the Hydrating formula.

For makeup, you can try a CC cream, but I personally find there's no substitute for a fine foundation.  There are some foundations available today which are lighter in texture than any CC or BB cream, and have very nice gentle on the skin ingredients.   My personal favorite is Laura Mercier's Smooth Finish foundation. It makes your face look like no makeup, but your skintone and complexion are definitely enhanced.

My other suggestions to you would be Lancome's Teint Idole Ultra and L'Oreal's Tru Match.

Re: Wrinkles showing, using very light makeup

Thank you all so much, I am writing all these down and this weekend I will check out some of the products. This morning I did do what someone suggested and mixed my bb cream and moisturizer together, I don't have a primer. I feel as though I have to start all over again with finding my go to products but I guess my skin and my body is definitely changing these days.

Re: Wrinkles showing, using very light makeup

@NativeJax,

Well, I live in south Florida and a liquid foundation will liquify and melt off your face during the summer heat and humidity unless you use a long-wear foundation or you hibernate in air conditioning 24/7.  I've also noticed that any powder foundation or liquid foundation that is 'luminous' will look sweaty/oily in the summer heat and humidity and highlight every wrinkle and flaw in my skin.  The intense summer sunlight in Florida is very unforgiving!  I use a matte powder foundation (Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten) with good results.

After moisturizing, use a primer or CC/BB cream with spf under your powder foundation and set it with a setting spray.  The setting spray really, really helps your makeup stay put in the Florida summer heat and humidity (use a matte finish setting spray).  The setting spray also takes away any powdery look from the powder foundation and makes it look like natural skin.  Personally, I think setting spray is a miracle product when used with powder foundation and can't figure out why people are so resistant to using it.

An estimated 700,000 people around the world, 400,000 of them children, have died so far due to the discontinuation of the USAID program.

Thank you for the suggestions! I bet this maybe a silly question but what is the difference between CC and BB cream? I am going to try these suggestions. Also, when you wear makeup do reapply during the day at work? I often just want to put lotion on and not mess with reapplying or touching up my makeup. It really was never a big deal to me but lately it is bothering me, I work in sales recruiting people to attend a trade school and meet with people all day, I want to look my best and feel as though my current skin/makeup changes need a boost. Thanks again!

I can't wear any mineral or powder makeup, shows lines/wrinkles I didn't know I had.

I have tried so many foundation brands of all prices, here(QVC) HSN and  better dept store makeup and the only one that really looks good on me is L'Oreal Tru Match Lumi. When I wore BE it was  fair or light than I tried the BE serum foundation in bare shell. I now use and love this L'Oreal tru match lumi in 3n, perfect for me.

I have it on without touch any touch up for 12 to 14 hours a day. The only touch up I do is my lipstick and my lower eye liner sometimes but never my foundation or anything else.

Being I have dry skin I was told to make sure to wash all makeup off before going to bed with something mild( I use Aveeno Positively radiant which takes everything off but waterproof mascara which I don't wear anyway) than in morning to just rinse well in warm water. I apply a serum and moisturizer day and night and that's it.

Give this L'Oreal tru match lumi a try. Get it at a drugstore you can return is you aren't happy with the makeup itself or need a different shade.

I apply it using either my IT foundation brush or my Real Techniques expert face brush. Go easy, doens't take much. I put a small drop on the top of my brush, dot around then blend using a circular motion all over till blended, perfect.
