I have been working with Clinique brown eyeliner trying different looks but I like it to be very natural looking. I found that dotting under the lower lashes makes your eyes look bigger. I will dot and sometimes smudge (there is a hard sponge on the other end of the liner) especially if I did not do such a great job dotting. I also like to tight line between the upper lashes sometimes. I chose brown for day time wear. I don't care for being all made up at my age but rather like a more natural look. How about you? Share what you like with eyeliner.

I love to play with eyeliner. I do pencil, liquid, powder, Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks with an angled liner...
One color on top lashes. A different color under my lower lashes.
I don't typically do brighter colors, but I won't rule it out.
Today it was LM Caviar Stick in Ganache (Soft brown. LE) & then I went over it with a Mac e/s in Diva Demands (burgundy).

I prefer a kohl pencil, or gel eyeliner. I line my upper and lower lids, but apply it much lighter on the lower lid, and use a slightly lighter shade, so it's not so harsh😊.

I love eyeliner but admit I still need to practice with it. I can watch tons of YouTube videos about how to apply it and still not have it look the way I would like for it to look.
I've also been experimenting with brown shades lately. I picked up a L'Oreal Infallible waterproof eyeliner in bronze last week. I have green eyes and I think it makes them stand out a bit more.
I love to tightline but as a contact lens wearer, I find that it can irritate or ruin a contact lens depending on which brand I use, so I have to be picky about which ones to buy.

I like to play with eye makeup but pretty much stay with the same palettes. I would love to do a cat eye, but my eyes are too round, so I generally do a gel pencil on top and extend up and out a bit at the corners, but once I open my eye, the up is pretty much a straight line which is why I don't do an exaggerated one. I then go over it with liquid liner.
On the bottom I only do a gel pencil and go along the ridge just above where the lashes come out (so that would be inside my eye not under it). It's very natural looking whereas going underneath the lashes, no matter how close, would just exaggerate the roundness of my eyes and tend to give me a raccoon look especially if it migrates even a bit.
I have several colors, black, navy, green, and eggplant although I can't find a liquid liner in eggplant/aubergine. I can use the gel pots with a brush, but they dry out quickly and I only wear makeup once a week.

I used Mally black liner pencil today on upper and lower lash lines. I have blue/gray eyes. I also use gel liner in charcoal brown or navy depending on what I am wearing. I like a natural look most days and sometimes just tightline with liquid liner.

I love to play with colored liners! Usually I do a neutral shadow and put the color on my line. I used to line the top and half in on the bottom. DD and I happened to catch the Anastasia specialists at Sephora one Saturday. I just had one question, but before I knew it I was in one of the stools - LOL! The specialist who worked with me recommended a darker brow color (I usually wear light blonde). She also told me not to line under the eye or use mascara on the bottom lashes and my eyes would look bigger. I tried that for a while. But now I'm back to my old way of doing my eyes - when I do them. I just got Mally's shadow stick set, so I've been playing with those.
I love bronze liner in the summer (hazel eyes) .

@wildcat fan Bronze is a favorite w/ my green eyes, too.

Sometimes a gel liner & fine brush (lip brushes work great) do a great job for wiggling dots between top lashes. I use very dark brown or black since lashes are still dark and I use black mascara. Lashes look thicker when fillled in between them.
Since all eyes are only on "eyes", I've been triple lining: dark brown/black in waterline, between lashes and then use a medium charcoal or navy shadow near the lashes on top. Bronze shadow, darker mauve, eggplant...all those shadow shades too dark for lid make a great liner. For staying power w/ shadows, I spray my brush w/ setting spray and wet the shadow. After a thin wet line dries, I go over that line w/ the same shadow dry to smudge it out.
