Why not glittery eye shadow?

I read so many posts about women who don't like the glittery shadow. Is it an age thing? Why don't you like glimmer shadow? I am asking for information, not to be antagonistic at all. I'm wondering if I am making a fashion faux pas by still wearing my purple glittery shadow at age 36 {#emotions_dlg.crying}
