Re: Why Can't I Find A Good Foundaton

@CANDLEQUEEN  - You know, it was one of those times (as I've heard so many others before me) when I went to counter only to find that the original fluide was discontinued.  I couldn't help but share with the salesgirl what an epic disappointment it was to me that she had discontinued it, in a kind way of course.  I really think she (the company) missed the mark on this one but the sales will dictate as always.

I suppose my  purchase of it once a year didn't warrant continued production of it!  Oh well.....

Re: Why Can't I Find A Good Foundaton

I've tried heaps of foundation and my favorite for matching my skin tone is Loreal Lumi Cushion. It is a buildable coverage with a sponge applicator. It  gives me the coverage I like which is sheer ,and natural, with a bit a sheen, not a true shine. It looks so natural on me

I am a summer , very fair ,and  with a pink undertone. I buy C2. It is  reasonable, but I go through it quite fast, because I use it every day

It comes in a compact ,and it is loaded onto a sponge, you are given a second sponge like a  old fashioned powder putt  to apply it. It doesn't streak, not turn a different color. It's not greasy, nor drying.

Another vote for L'Oreal True Match

@Desertdi, I was thinking of giving this a try. Funny enough I was watching The View and Whoopi was doing a segment of her favorite things. She mentioned this foundation and how it has a large range of shades ( I was surprised she uses it in her private life as she doesn't seem to be much into makeup). As for exfoliating I do it about three times a week.

@Jordan2   I've used the True Match ever since it's been on the market.  The "original"........NOT the Lumi.    di

Re: Why Can't I Find A Good Foundaton

I would go to any of the make up counters and ask to have them help with picking the right color foundation. They will match it to your neck skin------I know---but they do. You don't have to buy anything but you will get a good idea of what tone you are. My DD did that at Ulta, from the Philosphy and the angles sang---got her color for her very fair skin and she looks incredible. And if you don't want to pay alot of $$ for brand names, you will be able to find the right shade anywhere. I need to do that myself------

@Jordan2, the newest one that I am dying to try is Lawless on Sephora website. It is a clean product with no yucky ingredients.  Supposed to give full coverage with a very light feel. I normally only go for medium coverage but the lightweight part grabbed my interest. I did order Sunrise which was way too light for me  so I returned it. Mojave is the shade that I should wear but they have been sold out. I may just order from Lawless website. It also gives a satin finish. If you have a Sephora near you, that was going to be my other suggestion. They can assess your skin's needs and determine what will work best.

I have never heard of Lawless but will look it up.

Re: Why Can't I Find A Good Foundaton

I trashed my Philosophy skin tint, it was just too greasy. I have a small arsonal of foundations ( about 5, don't judge me), next one up is a Mally foundation cream in a compact.

I complain about this from time to time, so please forgive me. I am fair with cool tones and always purchase a foundation in fair. It seems whatever foundation I use powders, sticks, creams, and liquids, it always turns muddy on me kind of brown. I have used BM, Mally, LG, etc. Right now I'm using Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Skin Tint in Sand. I bought it at QVC, I'm not sure it's the right color for me. I have a complaint about it, I have oily skin but usually can keep it under control. This foundation makes my skin like an oil slick, I have never experienced anything like it before. The reviews I have read are favorable, but this is a big fat NO for me! I just wonder is anyone else feels this way? Also if you can recommend a foundation prestige or drugstore I would appreciate it.

@Jordan2I just received my BareMinerals Made 2 Fit foundation and brush today.  I don't wear foundation all of the time, but after reading the reviews, I was curious to try it.  You scan different parts of your face with your phone and the Made 2 Fit app develops a custom foundation (with your name on the bottle) that is shipped to you.  I tried it and it really is a good match.  The coverage is medium at best, but when I do wear foundation, I don't like heavy coverage.  There is a QVC coupon code available to use so that the cost of the foundation and brush is $49 + $3 shipping + tax.

@Linmo, I was thinking of getting this, but the app doesn't support any of my devices (iPad, KIndles, and two Tracfone Smartphones, one Samsung the other LG). This is unfortunate because  BM would have more sales if the app was more readily available.

Re: Why Can't I Find A Good Foundaton

@Jordan2I didn't realize that.  I read on a different thread that you can also go into a BM store (if you have one nearby) and they can do it for you.
