I saw a card that read " If I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself." 😂

Would you prefer the alternative? You can either get busy living or get busy dying. Make the most of each day you're given even though they become more challenging. I'm 70 and find joy in each day even if it's miniscule.

Gosh I'm 67 next month. See the eye doctor, and GP once a year. I have no specialists. I'm not super active but I do go to the gym 3 days a week and do what I want. Stopped working in 2014 and don't miss it one little bit.

I call them the Medicinal Years. And I'm only 62!

Well for me some parts are Golden and some sure aren't!! I retired at 62. I am now 69. In that time I went to Italy for 2 weeks, had stage 1 breast cancer (doing fine so far!!), daughter had miscarriage, one son married and divorced within a year (???), daughter had daughter, then a premie son (he just turned 4 and is amazing), went to 5 countries in Europe for 3 weeks, and finally a hip replacement last March. So quite a mix! Wouldn't trade it for anything but I will say in the last 3 years I have become very achy certain days and there are things that I have to do more slowly than before but that's ok. I'm still here and that's the important part!!

That's exactly how I would have commented at your age. This is not to pick on you at all. All these aging concerns happen at different times for each of us. Maybe you will be like the Queen or Warren Buffet...........

@Another new name Sue I never send do I recommend send "old people Humor" cards to anyone ever. You can be funny about shoe shopping or chocolate cake but not age.
My sister ALWAYS sends "old people humor" cards and never misses an chance to say "she is my OLDER sister."

My dear departed dad used to call this stage of life " The Metallic Years ". Silver in your hair, gold in your teeth and lead in your *ss. Lol

"Golden Years" was coined by an advertising campaign for a retirement community in Arizona, Sun City. Other than that there is nothing related between retirement and golden. It's all made up.

Was picking up prescriptions and said to the pharmachy tech that I was trying to figure out how to schedule my vaccines...........two for shingles, hep B, Flu and another covid....told her it was worse than a child having to get vaccines..........she commented "maybe that's why they call it a second childhood" LOL
