I regret buying the NIRA Precision. I wanted it to reduce my vertical lines around my lips but it didn't help at all. Woman Sad

I have the NIRA Pro, and I have used it each day since I purchased it January 2, 2024 and received it within a week.

it has worked on various places, like:

Nasolabial folds and smile lines

Lines where I used to have dimples

Some of my forehead lines, but on too well

Best results are my hands, and I'm very happy with that.

Two possible reasons why the NIRA Pro didn't work as well as others on me are:

1.  Although I have always had nice skin & I'm now 72, I know it's because of good genes and taking care of my skin, I believe this works on younger skin.

2.  I was unable to do my skincare routine for 18 months starting in January 2023, which was due to my husband being in and out of hospitals for cancer, and going for his treatments and test constantly, and waiting on him hand and foot because of him being so very weak from all he has been through. There was no time except for quick showers, and I was grateful for my showers.  You do what whatever it takes for those dear to your heart.

It's so true if you don't use it, you lose it.

The best gadget for me lately is red light therapy, along with my Tretinoin, moisturizer and absolutely sun protection.

Apologize this is so long.

Not pain, per se, @poregirl, but you feel pulses of heat. The user sets the intensity. It could be a little "sharp" if you do the same exact spot twice in a row, but you're supposed to move the device so that doesn't happen.

@PattyShell

I hope your husband is doing better.

Thanks for your detailed review.  I am thinking about the Nira Pro.

What is the red light device you are using?  Why do you call it "best" -- what is it doing?

@poregirl @JeanLouiseFinch the pain issue is one reason I like the NIRA more than my TRIA (not hair removal) laser, at least right now.  My Tria seems to hurt more recently even when I have the setting lower.  I was able to use a higher setting on the Tria long ago.  Could just be a cumulative effect of all my treatments.

I had bought the TRIA when it first came out, but was not able to use it because of the stinging and irritation to the skin.  I had forgotten about it until there was another thread about it awhile back.

But I am willing to try others.

I use my Tria ADL, on my neck and dec only, every other day and that keeps my neck smooth. Plus since I'm a side sleeper I used to get vertical lines on my chest but the Tria has kept those lines away so far. I wouldn't be w/o my Tria and in fact I own two of them. One is a backup.

@NYCLatinaMe @SilleeMee That's the Tria I have and it's my second one.  I don't know why this one seems to bother me more but I'll continue to use it.  I don't mind doing my daily treatments and know that I can hang in and do them.  I like the results from the NIRA as well.  Interestingly, I had lunch with my sister and binl last week and noticed that her skin is showing laxity and discoloration a lot more than I am.  Seems my efforts are paying off, even if they aren't dramatic.

@SilleeMee @Jk9

Thanks for posting the picture.  Reminded me again that the one I tried was the hair removing Tria, not the skin one.  Apologies for repetitive memory lapses...
