I use an exfoliator for the lips by FRESH. It lasts a long time. It's still good over a year or so. You apply a tiny bit to the lips gently rub, rinse and apply some type of moisture product to the lips. Has helped me tremendously. You could also take brown sugar with a tad of oil added to exfoliate. Do this procedure once or twice a week. Good luck. ![]()

Daily use: CO Bigelow Rose Salve (@ BBW)
Nightly: Agave Lip Mask - Fantastic! Worth the $. I get at Sephora. I never have chapped lips when I use these and I live in Wisconsin.

My lips got very chapped as soon as the weather got cold. I bought a new chapstick, it came in a silver tube and has argan oil in it. My lips healed within a day and continue to be very soft. I make sure I apply a thick layer before bed.

Aquaphor Healing Ointment or Cerave's version. I've been using the latter for more than a year and have been very pleased. I'm next going to try Cerave's ointment.
One thing that I purposely don't do is exfoliate my lips.

Lip Smackers made w/ beeswax...cheap, readily available.
I've never, ever had an issue with chapped lips.

I totally agree with Shiloh 81, I have been using Paula's Choice Lip & Body Treatment Balm for a number of years. Previously, I had tried so many lip treatments (Burts Bees, Nivea, Chapstick, Bobbi Brown, Carmex + others) and nothing seemed to work and some even made my lips worse. I use PC balm every night before bed and never have issues with chapped, cracked, or peeling lips. I love it and will not be without it. It cost about 15.00 but last a very long time.

I have a terrible problem with chapped lips and have to be careful what I use or I break out on my chin and above my lip. I picked up some ChapStick Total Hydration at Target and no more chapped lips and no more breakouts!
I'm also going to check my tooth paste...that is great info!
