@SurferWife      I had never used an eyelash primer.  However I recently tried the Lancôme Cils Booster XL Enhancing Mascara Primer and the L'Oréal Paris Voluminous  Mascara Primer.  IMHO the Lancôme Primer is so much better.  It lengthens, thickens and separates my lashes.

If you're looking for a primer that is not a mascara (as in the whilte fibers?)  Have you tried any of the L'Oreal Voluminous?  That is my favorite mascara line.I try many others, but I seemed to have settle on the Paradise Lash variety.  

 

I prefer the retractable style lip crayon.  The two I have are L'Oreal (again) in Always Red (if I wear red lipstick, I have to use a liner) and NYX Nude Pink (I like this if I use any other shade of matte lipstick).  Both of these are matte

 

My favorite chubby eyeshadow pencils are Thrive, Laura Mercier and Laura Geller Kajal (I think that is technically eyeliner but I use it smudge out like shadow)
