For the best info about all of the formulas please take a look at the Wen 101 thread. Bebe777 did a nice job putting together a lot of information about all the Wen products, combinations and prices.
I never used Spring Gardenia but it was limited edition and is no longer manufactured. I'm taking a guess that the any spring seasonals might be closest to Spring Gardenia and this year the spring seasonal is Spring Orange Blossom (SOB). It is definitely a floral fragrance. I think the new Summer Honey Peach (SHP) is also on the floral side.
All of the seasonals, including Spring Gardenia, are soy-based. If Spring Gardenia works for you because of the soy (vs wheat) then you will probably like Pomegranate (POM) since it is also soy-based. You will have the opportunity to order a gallon of Pomegranate during the June Gallon Month.
613 (that's its real name) is also soy-based but slightly more expensive due to additional "skin care quality" ingredients in it. Gallons of 613 will NOT be available in June but will be offered on their own probably in September.
Other gallons offered in June are either Wheat- or Rice-based so not sure how your hair will like those. My hair likes most any Wen product ![]()
Please be sure to check out that Wen 101 thread and read all of it. You will find it informative.
Enjoy!! ![]()

Thanks, for your kind words KJPA. They're really appreciated.
Pamula, welcome to the Wen forum and to the wonderful world of Wen. ![]()
KJPA is right on the money here. Both the Spring Gardenia Green Tea (SGGT) and the Spring Orange Blossom (SOB) each have powdery floral scent instead of the more fruity scent that the other Seasonals have. Most people prefer the fruity scents but I much prefer the powdery florals (think of powdery fragrances from the 1940s - Worth, Arpege, etc.).
Bamboo Green Tea (rice-based, bamboo amino acid complex, & extra skin care ingredients) is probably most similar to SGGT and SOB. 613 has a vanilla/lemon/rosemary scent and also has a powdery floral scent (rice-based, amino acid complex, extra skin care ingredients). It has a fresh green powdery scent. Unlike the two Seasonals, BGT and 613 are standard formulas that is always available.
Since BGT and 613 each have an amino acid complex in them, they do wonders for bulging up the structure of thin/fine/limp hair (like my hair). However, if your hair is already healthy or if it's thick/coarse you need to approach these two formulas carefully. Too much protein build up on these two hair types can cause your hair to get brittle or even break.

Pamula, I also have fine hair (although I have a bit of it) and my hair is super duper straight. Spring Gardenia Green Tea does glorious things for my hair, so I can totally relate to you!
From the core formulas, I adore TT and POM. Actually, I use those every time I cleanse on my first cleanse. If I had to pick only one, it would probably be POM.
The seasonals have always worked well for me, but honestly I find that the SOB CC is very similar to the SGGT. I've not yet tried the newest seasonal (SHP) - I have it but I'm making myself wait to use it until I clear out a few open CC's from my shower (it's a struggle -LOL).
When I do a leave in, I only use about half a pump from a 16 ounce bottle. Any more is just too much for my fine hair. Now, my hair is in amazing condition and doesn't really require any more....your experience may vary from that.
As for styling products, I love the volumizing treatment spray (VTS) for my hair! It gives me the "umph" I need.
Best of luck to you as you work to find your "go-to" CC. ![]()

Hi Pamula and welcome to the Wen forum! Like you, I ADORE Spring Gardenia Green Tea. My hair is fine in texture, but I have a lot of it. It's cut in a ton of layers (shortest just below my chin, longest bra strap length). I can very easily blow dry it straight, curl with a round brush or use the Wen mousse (LOVE!) to air dry in waves.
With all of that being said, my absolute fave is Tea Tree, it gives me tons of body. In the core formulas, I also like Sweet Almond Mint, Lavender (great for volume) and Cucumber Aloe. On my hair, the TT and LAV perform most closely to your favorite, SGGT.
You may want to consider one of the Wen discovery kits (or see if you can pick up several travel packs on the bay). This way, you can compare the core formulas before you decide on a gallon purchase. Take it from my experience......you absolutely should NOT purchase a gallon unless you know the formula works for you!! (I made that mistake with POM years ago.......I'm STILL working my way through it........not fun.)
Best of luck and feel free to ask any additional questions!

I sure do miss the SGGT (Spring Gardenia Green Tea). It was my 2nd fav seasonal. Second only to FGP (Fall Ginger Pumpkin). I too have thin fine hair and SGGT was the perfect formulation. Just enough moisture, without it making my hair greasy. I always thought SGGT smelled like Lemon PEZ candy, where SOB (Spring Orange Blossom) smells like Orange PEZ candy. I like the new Bamboo Green Tea Rice-based formula. For the original regular formulas, SAM (Sweet Almond Mint) and TT (Tea Tree) work best for me. I like to use the 613 formula as a treatment. Hope this helps. Just my opinion and experience.
