@michellegirl I am hardly a prude but I see your point when it comes to young, teenage girls. It's like what are we teaching our children? These designers of makeup need to get a grip and Tom Ford and his "f_____g something" name for a perfume. Ridiculous. I think the designers need to think more of themselves instead of using nasty names for their products.

I agree the names of makeup/perfume are way too sexual. Unfortunately, in these times, sex sells. It’s the images on social media that’s also feeding this.
Ads for products are too explicit not only for teenagers, but my 9 yr. old granddaughter is exposed to these visual assaults as well. She wants crop tops, eye shadow, gloss, knows all about Kardashians, etc. How can we keep them away from all tv, magazines & talk at school? It’s quite upsetting.
Solutions? Boycott the products...won’t ever happen. Write the companies? I’m not sure they care as long as sales are up. I’ll just try to ignore these names and do my best to keep as much “adults only” imagery away from the granddaughters.

The names chosen neither offend me nor stop me from buying if I choose to.

Compared to Urban Decay, NARS is an innocent, lol.

It's just stupid. Too much time and money on their hands.
It's like going to the grocery store and suddenly finding all the balsalmic vinegars have ribald names on them. Ummm, okay why?

Provocative branding is a marketing tool to try and create buzz. It gets brands talked about on social media. What youtuber would have bothered to review the new Flesh brand of cosmetics if it didn't have trashy names? The line is a part of the Revlon stable under Linda Wells.
Youtubers were making fun of the name of the foundation stick Flesh thick stick. They gave thumbs down on the brand name, the foundation itself, and the amount in the container and price of it.

@Shanus You are so right and the best anyone can do is try to keep the children away from certain products like Grandma's Nars O in her makeup bag. LOL Just kidding you.

There used to be a Crayola crayon called Flesh until it was removed after the Civil Rights protests.

@Katcat1 They know I always have a great gloss in my bag. Looks great on the older one w/ more tawny skin Iike my son & equally well on the younger one who’s fair. Yep! It’s “O” gloss...looks great on everyone. 😜
