You remind me of those "vegitarians", who occasionally eat eggs and fish.....lol.. Committed to the cause! When it suits you......lol
crystaltree - You might be confusing vegetarianism with veganism. Vegetarians often do consume dairy, they're considered lacto-ovo vegetarians; and some vegetarians are pescetarian which means they eat fish. Vegans, on the other hand, avoid all animal products.

Thanks for the clarification there to that poster. I am vegan.. No milk, no eggs. No cheating. Fish is not eaten by vegetarians or vegans that I know.

Lovely - You're so welcome! I know there's a lot of confusion/misinformation out there and I'm happy to shed some light on the subject whenever I can. I've been a vegetarian for about 8 years and while I do consume things with eggs in them on occasion, I use coconut or almond milk instead of cow's milk. I also don't buy leather products and I hope to one day make the vegan jump!

Medicine is a necessity. Cosmetics and skincare are not. That's the difference. Personally, I don't recycle everything I possibly can, and I don't eat only fully organic whole foods...but that doesn't mean what I *am* doing in those areas isn't worth doing
Medicine is a necessity. Cosmetics and skincare are not. that is such a simple concept- sad that it goes over the heads of many

bella-luna, I wish you luck in the transition and that is exactly what it is. I was vegetarian for 25 years and became vegan a few years ago and it is not easy. Being vegetarian was easy. Just don't eat meat. Vegan is a whole new ball game and I am still transitioning through it day by day, but will not go back.

Lovely - Thank you SO much! You are so right...being vegetarian is easy! Of course, I live in the South and some people still look at me like I have 2 heads when I say I'm vegetarian. One person recently even said, "Oh yeah....my friend is vegetarian, but she eats chicken and fish." I said, "Well...then...she's not a vegetarian." Then she said, "But chicken and fish aren't meat." To which I said, "If it has a face and a mother, it's meat." Then she said, "Well, that's kinda harsh."
Anyway, kudos to you for going vegan! That's awesome! ![]()
To the OP - didn't mean to hijack the thread! Sorry!

That it's bullship and they're hoping you won't notice it. I would not purchase from their company if animal testing/byproducts is an issue.

Testing on animals is not necessary in cosmetics because they have scientific tests that can do that. If you were to read about the tests they conduct and how they are performed it would make you sick. It SHOULD make you sick, and it needs to be stopped. Animals should not suffer and die for the sake of beauty products.
