Re: What did you use up this week? 4/15

I didn't use up anything but I tossed a Doll 10 mascara that irritated by eyes and replaced with a Westmore mascara that I haven't used before from my stash.  Have used the Westmore once and like it so far.  Still have some Lights Camera Action and Elizabeth Arden in my stash to use as well.

A good and safe weekend to all.

Used up -

Distinction Firmalift Serum - replaced with one from the stash. I buy them two at a time.
DHC Washing Powder - I've been using this on random occasions and finally used it up.  No plans to repurchase at this time.  There are a few cleansers out there that I'd like to try but the Vanicream I'm using is so nice and the price can't be beat.

Returned

Doll 10 TS - I kept trying it and not just wasn't for me.  The shade was too light, it separated on my nose, cream blush needed powdered blush over it to last.

Laura Geller Better than Bare Tinted Moisturizer - another one that was too light.

@kathie66  @KBEANS     Hmm. Glad I didn’t see that post.  Not viable???

I love this thread too. This group always has Kind, positive posters and it has helped me reign in my sometimes wasteful spending, while also seeing what other products that posters love.   I will always love my beauty products, but nice to share our beauty finds and interests here.  😋😋😋. I look forward to it on Fridays!

@lynnie61 I so appreciate your kind words and agree this group is so kind and positive. I have received so many great recommendations over the years on this thread and the reviews have helped me spend my money wiser. I love reading the posts and look forward to it as well. It starts my weekend off just right.

Happy weekend beauties!

I just used up one thing last week:

Bolero brand facial wipes watermelon and aloe 30ct- I got these from dollar tree and they were perfectly fine. I just use them if I want to wipe off a bit of makeup or perspiration. I have several packs of wipes here to use but for $1.25 I actually replaced them. I will probably open a pack from Ulta next

Hi Beauties,

Good looks @kathie66  for getting this thread up!

This week I finished up a Skinn Cosmetics Ice eye depuffer. I have another. It was a two pack. It's ok, but I like Tatcha better. I am replacing that with the Perlier Black Rice eye gelee that Amanda raves about.

This week it really worked on my very puffy allergy eyes! I had to see the doctor because the allergies were so bad! I got laryngitis because my vocal chords swelled.
But my eyes looked great from that gelee. I must write a review on Perlier on HSN.

I think that's all.

I will brag that I organized all my makeup in a case this week. It feels good to put it all together. I opened my stash IT Cosmetic bronzer. My stash was smashed. So pizzed!

I didn't trash it because I'm trying to salvage it somehow before purchasing a new one. It was on sale earlier in the week but I didn't need it. I put it in my cart today and when I went to check out at 11:30 PM it was at regular price so I took it out. I'll wait.  The price was supposed to hold until midnight!

You Slow..You Blow...next time I guess.

Have a great weekend.

@KBEANS   May I offer a suggestion? If the bronzer is powder, you can spray on a bit of alcohol, press it back into the compact and leave it open to dry out. It should get back to almost a solid form again.

Re: What did you use up this week? 4/15

Finished my last of set of six winter Philosophy shower gels, Snow Angel, 16 oz, from 2020! And I gave two away! I have only one small 1 oz. of Snow Angel shower gel left from a set I bought this year with the cloud cream, small cologne, and a hand cream...all small sizes but enough to let me layer all this winter. I do like Snow Angel, but that's enough until next winter...if I even buy any again.  I am at the bottom of my Fresh Cream, which I usually have on auto-delivery, but it ended. Not sure I'll buy more Philosophy for summer, unless they bring back Sea of Love. If not I may try Neutrogena's shower wash, people seem to like it, better price. I've been experimenting around with brands, drug-store vs. my old standard ones...everything is getting too expensive, and not always that worth it. Philosophy keeps going up and up...anyway, I still like the brand, but trying new things too.

Used up the last of my Dr. Denese face cream that came with an auto-delivery that finally ended. I have an Olay regenerist ready to go next, that I'm trying for the first time....again to try more recommended drug store brands. Got it with coupon for only $15, ($30 size), but as I thought about it...it's a much smaller size than the D.D., which came in a 4-set, but if broken down was about $30 per item...so it was a good deal then....included a large Hydroshield (largest they make), and the face cream is more than twice the size of the Olay. Anyway, that AD is over. And though price-wise may wind up about same when you figure sizing...still CVS sends me lots of deals and sales, so if I like this, just may be just as happy, and convenient. Also interested in Neutrogena face creams and serums. I've used Hydroshield for over a decade...and may continue with it.

I believe that's it for me this week.
