Hi Friends,

I went on a short trip to Denver this week with my DS and DD. My son had to go on business, and we went with him. What a beautiful area of the country! It was so nice to spend time with my kids. I used up some travel items.

Travel tube of Colgate Toothpaste- this was fine

Travel packet of WEN CC in Chocolate Truffle-this scent was ok, Winter Vanilla Mint is my favorite scent in the line.

Travel-size Trader Joe's Vitamin C Firming Body Butter- I really like this body butter, the scent is tangerine, which I love. I have this in a full size in the stash.

I will replenish my travel bag with travel-sized items in the stash for my next trip.

Didn't use up anything this week.

Had a cold all last week, hardly went out, and hardly put on any makeup...I did finish a box of tissue!!

Nothing "beauty" for me this week!

I do like reading what y'all are using up, and what you think of various products...many things I've never tried or even heard of. Thanks for posting each week.

ps. @kathie66 Wen's "Winter Vanilla Mint" has been a longtime favorite of mine also! Last year I treated myself to the body butter/hair mousse duo here on Q. I got it mainly for the body butter, and the mousse came along with it.

I use the mousse...it's ok, kind of moistens the ends of my wavy hair, more than lifts the roots, as other mousses do. My fav was always Living Proof. The last can I had to get on Ebay, as they no longer make it. That one lifted my hair at the roots and made it full. The Wen mousse just seems to add moisture and scent...it's fine, but wouldn't buy it alone.

I'm 1/2 way down on the body butter, as I alternate with all my others too. I love WVM. I actually just looked this morning on Q and that kit still exists...ugh...Wen is so expensive. I have to use up all my body butters and lotions before I treat myself to another of these. Everything has gotten so out of sight, it really is a "treat" when I go for it.

pps. Sounds like a fun trip and time to spend with your kids. I visited Colorado once, many years ago, including Denver...was a beautiful, memorable trip.

Good Morning Beauties!

How nice that you could have this time with your kids!  We love Denver, @kathie66, though it's been decades since we were last there. It's beautiful to wake up in the morning and see the mountains!  Long before we had kids, DH and I talked about living there one day.  It won't happen now, we won't leave our kids and grandkids.    

Here's my list for the week - 

Powdered Eyeshadow Palette Purge - Got rid of all the colored stuff.  I don’t coordinate my eyeshadow to my outfits anymore.  Usually I’m wearing something in the taupe, mink, brown family, and my usual go to is RMS Eyelights or RMS Back2Brow used as eyeshadow.  Out with the purples, blues, greens, greys, etc.

Skinn Lip Oil - there was a little left in the tube.  I left it in the car and when I found it, it had leaked. I checked the cap and it was secure so I don’t know how it happened.  Pitched it during the cleanup process.  I decided I’m over dedicated lip oils, in general.

Tarte Tubing Mascara AD - It’s a very good mascara, but I’m having great results with the drugstore brands Loreal Paradise Real Deal and Essence Lash Princess so I decided to cancel the AD.  I have some BadGal Bang and one Tarte to use up but then I’ll be sticking with the drugstore favorites.

@amyb I love the WEN WVM body butter too. I can't wait to open one I have in the stash this winter. It really is a treat! Sometimes Chaz's site has a good promo; I think the two I have in the stash came from his site. Thank you; it was truly a beautiful and memorable trip!

@JeanLouiseFinch Thank you! It really is beautiful. It was my first time in Colorado. I have always wanted to go; the Rockies are just breathtaking. I can cross it off my bucket list. I loved that there is so much to do and see outside. We had so much fun being together and exploring the area. I am so grateful for the memories made.

Hi @kathie66 and agree that time spent with one's kids is the best.  So glad you had such a good trip with yours.

Didn't use up anything this week.  I'm close on one thing but not quite there yet.
