Can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong applying WEN? I've used it for about 18 months and I think it's done wonders for my hair - no excessive hair fall out and it is really soft. I have a chin length bob and not baby fine but fine. I use 5 pumps for first and 4-5 pumps more for second. (This was using the 16 oz size) and it worked well. Should I adjust the pumps when using a 32 oz bottle? I know they say more is better but I can't stand in the shower for10 minutes just trying to rinse it out. I've noticed that my hair does get greasier sooner. I know it's expensive but it keeps my color from fading. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I think the 32 oz pump is equal to 2 of the 16 oz pumps, so try 2.5 pumps each.

Are you adding a splash of water after applying the cleanser and then massaging it in well? Can you get a wide tooth comb through your hair easily with the cleanser on with a some accumulating on the teeth? If not, you probably aren't using enough cleanser.

The recommended pumps for short hair is for hair that is ear length. For a chin length bob you are going to need more. I'd experiment by adding another 2 pumps to each cleanse and see how that works for you.

Here is the breakdown of pump amounts per bottle

6-oz.: 60 pumps

16-oz. 160 pumps - 10 pumps per oz

32-oz. 240 pumps - 8 pumps per oz

128-oz. 128 pumps - 1 pump per oz

If you are currently using 5 pumps from the 16oz that is 1/2 oz so you'd need 4 pumps from the 32oz bottle for 1/2 oz.

My hair is shorter than yours, just ear length on the sides and I still use about 3-4 pumps from a 32 ounce bottle. That is for the first and second cleanse each time. So you would need more than I use , also I've never rinsed for 10 minutes either.

If you are having trouble rinsing out the CC, try rinsing in layers and sections also use the Wen comb, while you're rinsing.

My hair is a about an inch or two below chin length. I use 8 pumps for both cleanses from a 16 oz. bottle. I use 5-6 pumps for both cleanses from a 32 oz. bottle.

The bigger the bottle, the less pumps you need. Like everyone said you basically need about half from the 32 ounce bottle.

If your hair is getting greasy sooner and it's taking you a long time to rinse out it may be that you're not adding enough water as you work the cleansing conditioner in. Either cup your hands under the shower and splash on your head or actually quickly stick your head under the water for a second, then work the conditioner up into a froth, adding more water until you feel it getting lighter. Combing through as you rinse also helps. HTH

I totally agree. This is good advice. When I first started I wasn't adding enough splashes of water to make the Wen get really frothy and bloom, and it took me several minutes to rinse it all out, but now that I do this I can rinse really thoroughly in maybe 1-2 minutes.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions! I will try more water and experiment with the number of pumps.
